Aeternus
Drill those gun barrels, but other than that it's coming along nicely :) can certainly see the pistols as handcannons. KBA
Hmmm, that guy looks like another Praetor I've seen recently. Praetor? Mine's just a tactical Seargent in artificer armor. Fun stuff aside, I must be copying you. An exotic conversion choice like swapping in a pointing hand on an already extended arm couldn't be indepently thought of.. Jokes lad, jokes. It's a fairly simple and awesome looking kind of conversion, so I expect to see it a fair bit. I am by no means complaining or insinuating you couldn't come up with the idea yourself, I was leaning more towards the "great minds" notion. Yeah, I took the comment and the eye roll the wrong way. I need to work on being less quick to bite on this board. That is one phenomenal conversion KBA... Looks totally brutal. Where did the lower half come from? The legs look like a mix of Mark II & Mark III Thanks for the compliments, guys. The legs come from the MK III command kit, chopped into pieces and refit with grunt MK III thighs, if that makes any sense. Perry
I needed to do some conversions for my Night Lords squad leaders http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/Pezzar/squad%20leader%201_zpsuzlnkzuh.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/Pezzar/squad%20leader%202_zpsr9tihcvi.jpg The trouble with the Terminator kit was the lack of left hands that didn't have lightning claws, powerfist/ chain fist. So I made this conversion by cutting a chainfist down and adding a combi-bolter. I've also been having a play making combi-meltas for my Terminators, using the combi-melta from the MK IV kit. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/Pezzar/combi%20bolter%202_zpsnzvelbsw.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/Pezzar/combi%20bolter%201_zpszf7j2mwu.jpg The boltguns don't look symmetrical, but that was never the intention, I like the uneven look. Gawain Veteris
Betrayal at Calth Praetor Hello Brothers, First post in a long long time. Apologies for the poor picture quality. Just a passing post. More detailed stuff on my Heresy Era Armour thread to come very soon. I've finished my Masters and I'm taking sculpting commissions again. Betrayal at Calth is my first foray back into GW products. I'd love to hear your thoughts. I thought that the terminator praetor model in particular was a curious missed hit in the otherwise strong BaC box. I love the little hex game and I picked up another set as a booster for the MKIV. More to come believe me. Anyway, I dropped the chainfist which I thought was a strange choice (probably for going for the Contemptor). I replaced it with a Cataphractii powerfist and the lovely sword from the Ultramarines Upgrade kit for a paragon blade. I know its not Wysiwig but I figure I count the powerfist as a foam finger from his pre astartes days... This army will be for friendly gaming. I really wanted to get a flavour of Roboute Guilliman with this model. Maybe I'll add some hair... Anyway here're the pictures. Let me know what you think. It'll be good to refamiliarize myself with the posting/coding. Pariah Mk.231
Not finished yet, but here's an update on some of my BaC conversions. Veteran Sergeant, Praetor, Librarian. The sarge has the legs that the Praetor wasn't using, as well as the fist, head and a pair of shoulder pads from the sterguard kit. Death By Monkeys
I've been cutting away the pteurges and shoulder from the B@C Cataphractii lightning claws so I can use them on my Raven Guard Dark Furies. So I made this conversion by cutting a chainfist down and adding a combi-bolter. That Chainfist to CombiBolter conversion is great, I'm afraid I might have to "borrow" that one! Is there enough bulk to the shoulders on the Claw arms to use normal (Indomitus) style Terminator pads over them? I'm thinking of using them on another squad of Assault Terminators for my Minotaurs. KBA
Wow, that's the best Contemptor conversion I've seen yet. Opening up the thighs and the angle of the head changes everything. Cadmus Tyro
@KBA: thanks, it's a resin contemptor head. I had a few spare pieces from my other contemptor dreadnoughts. Ie, how hard was it to remove the bolter, and leave enough of the hand to put a volkite on top? It was really easy, nice and slow with a reasonably sharp blade, literally gently rocking the blade slowly. Slides through nice and just keep your finger and thumb on the hand and bolter so the bits don't ping off. A thing of note though, glue the hand onto the arm before you glue the arm to the body, else it gets really fiddly :p Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316046-betrayal-at-calth-conversions-and-ideas-for-the-new-box/page/4/#findComment-4233322 Share on other sites
