Finally got my hands on a kit today, here is my WIP NL Contemptor so far:

Your Captain looks great, where did you get the heads from?

Plague bearers kit (technically I scoured bits and kits for some conversion parts/ideas and found them by accident). I'm also aware that there are some nice dangly heads in one of the skaven kits potentially I want to find too.

I don't see any Imperial Guard, all I see is Some soldier of the imperial army :D. Like the guard of 40k the soldiers of the imperial army can literally look like anything, well as long as it's humanoid ;).

 

So as I believe I'm getting BAC soon I'm wondering how you guys converted the legs on the contemptors? I hate the static pose of the contemptor as it seems unnatural. I

We'll see what I come up with then!

To manipulate the Contemptor, the more you want to change the posing the more work it involves, the easy parts are cutting him off at the waist and giving him a flat rotation but you can GS the joint to make him lean in any direction, this is the same for the legs as you can take them off at the hip to rotate as required. The knee bend I used was the tricky part as you have to cut around the knee cap to free it. After that you just have to cut and test until you get your desired bend in the knee, note you will make a gap below the knee which you will have to GS in later.

I've been working on getting the arms on my BaC contemptor a bit more range of movement and weapon options if you have some leftover bits from a FW version, and did a tutorial on it.

So I have manage to Finish Assembling the Contemptor, I may still add things to the model but the majority of the work for it has been done. I hope you enjoy it!

Perhaps include a dragon skull somewhere? I'd suggest part of the hammer if possible, such that you would be hitting enemies of the imperium with a salamander's skull.

The only other part model wise would be either a scaled loincloth or if you could put scales onto the models cloak. 

Also a Pretty Base always helps a model look good!

I may try your skull idea - one of the wolf skulls might get dragonified for that.

 

I probably will try to do scales on the cloak yes.

 

And yes, the basing I always do last which seems to be different from most people!

Had a crack at converting the Catahractii and giving them a more dynamic set of poses to go with the Lightning Claws:
