Weren't BA and WS be release alongside DA? I am getting a bit grumpy. Also, there goes that stupid executioner stuff for SW again.

They are.

And these are only Posters seen at WHW. The guy probably didnt have time to snap other pictures.

Just because we haven't seen a fancy Poster for the WS and BA doesnt mean they're not in the next book which the Thousand Sons and Space Wolves arent included in.

The fact that we get Leaks at all is surprising BUT! we know for a fact what is included in the FW books prior to release BECAUSE FORGEWORLD TELLS US WHATS INSIDE.

Never forget that.

We Know that BA/DA/WS are in the next book. No use moaning that they didnt get a fancy poster.

Edit: I got slightly frustrated, sorry about the tone.

What makes it stupid? They had a function like all the other legions were somewhat intended.

Does not mean that I like it. It is just my personal opinion, but it was what irredeemably damaged to enthusiasm for the Wolves. If not for nostalgia, I would not spend a second thought on them. This makes me understandably pissed, because I used to love them above all else.

Still, I'd wait and see.

So far FW havent done anything Egregious to legion fluff despite what you may sometimes read. Keeping an optimistic view for the fluff is better than beating yourself up over something they might correct/ justify adequately, etc.

It doesnt imply vs legion to me the wolves stuff. They execute the Emperors or imperial courts will. Therefore Executioners. Doesnt specify the exact nature of the enemy. Did they do posters like these for the other legions before these ones?

Damn it, I really have a hard decision to make now. Do I go for the Thousand Sons as my Traitor Legion army, or do I go back to my roots and start a Space Wolf army?

I did wonder why this was itching all day today...

I have to agree on the SW being the emperors executioners. For me it ruined them. The legion already had lots of character and history. Felt like this was added onto a legion that already had so much. It was just that brush stroke to far that ruined the model for me.

Could have gone to another legion IMO. Still cant wait to see some models and cant wait to see thousand sons.

See, I don't think they could. While I'm not a fan of 85% of Prospero Burns (I wanted a SW book dammit, not '40k does The 13th Warrior'), the 'Executioners' thing was one of the bits that made sense. It had always bugged me why Russ and Wolves were sent to Prospero, especially given that nature if the initial 'arrest and retrieve' order for Magnus. Why send a Primarch that had previous beef with the wrongdoer and could easily be looking for an excuse for war? Why not send a Primarch and Legion without that baggage, such as Dorn and the Fists? PB answered this pretty well imo. Bearing in mind the extreme culture shock seen in the early books at the idea of Marine on Marine conflict, most Legions could hesitate if violence was called for (hell, Lorgar is saved by exactly this sort of reaction vs Corax in TFH). The VI, on the other hand, could be relied on to complete their orders, whatever the cost and without hesitation. If they gave that 'dirty jobs hatchet-men' schtick to another Legion, the question would become 'why weren't these guys sent to bring Magnus in, instead of Russ and the Wolves?'.

If you were to play anything other than Wolves with THAT on you, you might as well get it lasered off then!

Any thoughts on why Fenris is listed as (Enforced Dominion) instead of (Home World) like Caliban is for the DA?

Apparently, Wolf King tells the Emperor ordered Russ to keep the culture of Fenris as it is, rather than assimilating to the wider Imperium.

World Eaters could fit into this category. They could have been given the "executioners" title and it would fit amazingly well considering what they were used for as the War Hounds, essentially attack dogs. It would also give a reason for Russ being sent to bring Magnus in, as the Legion when rejoining with Angron turned into the somewhat mindless berzerkers and after a small amount of Censure sending the World Eaters would mean destruction, the Emperor simply did not want them executed.

I for one liked the portrayal of the VI in Prospero Burns, however I hated the fact that it was not from a Legionaries Perspective and from that of a remembrancer type. I thought that it ruined the book for me to a certain extent.
