So I decided to return to the hobby after a nearly 4 year break. I hope to improve on all aspects of the hobby (panting, modelling and writing fluff). I have chosen the Raptors to be my chapter as their lore is pretty awesome and this thread inspired me. I am hoping for advice, corrections and inspiration from people as I want to make great marines! I'm not sure if I will get back into the tabletop game yet.

My goal is to make my Raptors look like the tactical jungle warriors their lore presents them as. I may try and use greenstuff in the future but I have no experience with it.

 

Here are two test models I made

 

I have used components from the betrayal at calth tactical squad, regular tactical squad and kits from anvil industries. I hope to give several marines the cloaks so I can paint camo patterns on them. I want all marines to carry knives as it would be necessary tool to operate in the jungle and to carry ammo and side arms on their person.

 

I hope for and encourage input!
