Hey everyone,

I don't spend a great amount of time on B&C, but when I do I love checking out the WIP section.

I've been slowly working on some Heresy models of late and finished one that's reasonable enough to show you. The plan is to get 2 forces done that can team up for bigger games and as I'm a sucker for the 'good guys' I have decided to paint Salamanders and a smattering of loyal Death Guard.

I'm still torn on which Legion to focus on first so this thread may end up with a mix of both at the same time

Anyway I don't play much any more so if the armies look a bit disjointed then it's because I have no idea what sucks and what's the new cheese. To be honest I don't really mind either way as this log is just to keep me motivated.

So here is my first fully painted figure - a Salamanders Vigilator.

I don't think he turned out too bad overall - I've repainted the base rim since the photos so the ugly paint marks are gone.

I'm working on a laser destroyer vindicator conversion at the moment so I'll get some pictures up when I get home.

That's some nice use of the brass etch, he definitely looks spec ops with the cadian helm. Looking forward to seeing him joined by some of his friends.

I'm currently converting a plastic vindicator and russ into a laser destroyer vindicator. Essentially it's the vindicator main body with backwards leman russ tank tracks on it. I prefer the old style russ laser destroyer tank hunter appearance more than the current quad barrelled laser of the FW vindicator. So my question is should I paint it in sally or death guard colours? Originally I was plabning on going full death guard with it and weathering it as an Istvaan loyalist veteran tank. In the fluff many of the tank crews were Terran born so I figured that it would be a good fit. What do you think?

I have started work on some Vorax conversions using old space crusade dreadnoughts I had in a box of spares.

Ahh those Dreadnoughts... love them! Still got some ( 5 or so) I bought on a garage sell some years ago, but they have been painted thickly with something I cannot strip sadly, so I´ll never be able to use them for anything :(
