Eye of Terra - Great Crusade stories reprints

Path of Heaven - novel

Silent War - Garro and Sigillite stories reprints

Angels of Caliban - novel

So from 4 releases only 2 are new - nothing changed.

It's the same 1 new book per 3-4 months.

Remind you that 'Pharos' was fist released as ebook in DECEMBER! It doesnt matter in which format the book is released. IT IS RELEASED.

That's 3 new full novels over seven months, which averages at 1 every 2.3 months, not 3-4.

Even if it -was- 1 new book every 3-4 months, that's not exactly a pace to complain about. The slow pace people have been getting annoyed about was 1 book every 6-12 months. This is much more back to how it was.

Plus we know of at least 3 others done or nearing completion.

Plus we don't know the contents of Eye of Terra or The Silent War yet, beyond likely themes.

What's Praetorian of Dorn about?

From Battles Bunnies' reporting on the latest HH Weekender:

John French is working on Praetorian of Dorn. Focussed on Imperial Fists. Master of Dorn's Huscarl, Arcamus. Alpha Legion vs Imperial Fists in Sol System. Book is finished - has Malcador etc."

If I recall, this one will involve Dorn and the Fists trying to manage and clear out the hundreds of independent entities within the Sol system. All the moons of the gas giants, asteroid and kuiper belt for instance. A number of which have sided with Horus.

I miss my Billy Idol-esque looking Dorn.

I never, ever liked the way FW made him look in art. Make him rad again. Make him hung like a pony. Make it get hot in the city when he shows up. Make him reject the Slaaneshi notions of flesh for fantasy. Make him reject the Tzeenchian eyes without a face.

John French + Fists=Awesome. His Crimson Fist story is without a doubt one of my favorites, Alexis Polux is definitely one of my favorites. John French is up there with ADB and Abnett for me so I think this will be awesome. I don't remember the Huscurl that will be the main character, is this the one from The Purge?

Yeah he cover art is from Primarchs but is an great piece anyways.

He is, and he also appeared in Blood Games and The Lightning Tower.

I'll quote:

@The last proof edits on Praetorian of Dorn (Horus Heresy #39 - you all knew I was doing that, right?) are due in today. Witness the ritual coffee cups and traditional heap of paper.@

Praetorian of Dorn - book #39 - July 2016. Because book #38 is Angels of Caliban released in June 2016 biggrin.png

Amazon says "Eye of Terra" is 15 short stories + Aurelian. Yet more regret for buying it separately, but good news for my poor-ass friend who will receive my hardcover free of charge.

Kinda hoping Laurie or whoever is in charge puts a cap on short stories from here on out so we can round them all up in standard format before the series ends.

EDIT: And apparently The Silent War is 14 shorts. Does anyone who follows the Garro stuff know how many stories pertaining to the Knights Errant there are?

If Eye of Terra and The Silent War are just existing things, they could get us close. By my count there are 39 shorts/audios not collected elsewhere, 14 novellas and the Meduson collection. Let's say each of the two upcoming anthologies have 1 novella + 15 stories (if anything Silent War might have more, since it's got a bigger page count). There's talk of a Garro collection (and I'd be shocked if there isn't one honestly). That's 6 more shorts and another novella.

Which would hypothetically leave just a few shorts and a dozen novellas, counting Meduson as one. Obviously there'll be some more as we go, certainly audios and novellas, but these could still go a long way to getting the main series all caught up.

Eye of T will be preorder Saturday. Still love that cover art. The WD blurb continues to give me glee with paying in Swedish Kr rather in US $. A 25% discount is still a discount and supports my local FLGS. smile.png

Anyone know what stories they have?

BL doesn't say, just that it is 15 shorts and Aurelian. I find that annoying as they managed to list them for War Without End.

Tales of Heresy is now avaliable in hardback too, they get that quiet.

They've literally just updated that page!!!

It's incredibly handy to have! There are a few I've naturally read, but pleased to have the others in that format nonetheless.

Yeah I am pretty disappointed that with that cover full of awesomeness, the novel has not one new thing in it.

Come on guys, I am about as big a HH fanboy as it gets, and the short story/novella/novelette/quick read fetish is getting really old.
