Fresh from Liber Daemonica

legs and torsos

The legs have just the right amount of tabards to fit into a bladeguard squad. So if you pick up some shields, backpacks and shoulderpads along with the legs and torsos you could build a second BGV squad from one box. Your not really saving anything over buying another box but they will look much more flavorful.

I just downloaded the STL for that DC Dread. Mostly looking to print bits vice a full Dread., especially the Redemptor sized Magna-Grapple. The pieces are all pre-supported,  but I found a few islands on the check before printing.  Trying to fix them, and then looking forward to giving it a go.

The sanguinor and sanguinary guard bits I hate. GW ones are better, easily, on both counts (though i do like the variety for the guard).

Lemartes is nice if you want one more like the old model just rescaled

Tycho is basically perfect lol.

Not sure about corbulo... Something feels off

terminator upgrades are very nice.

not a fan of the jump pack with wings, I did find these though:

I actually agree with you on the Sanguinor and the winged jump packs. Couldn't disagree more on the Sang Guard bodies though, they are basically exactly want i wanted from a new kit.

I do get what you mean about Corbulo but i think a helmet would do a lot to fix him. Maybe anyway.

To me they make the gw ones look slim.. and they already had an issue of looking a bit chunky around the midsection.

the ab design is awful, and the legs just don’t look like sanguinary guard legs at all and the thighs are even more plain than the gw ones too.

the different chest designs are fun is about the only real good thing I can say about them.

Speaking from experience, all of the Tortuga Bay minis are very much close to Primaris scale. They're a smidge taller than HH2.0 mk6 and slightly more bulky. They are not even close to "first born" in size (I.E. they're huge in comparison).

I said proportion, not size.

Take a gander at the Tycho stand in: legs spread far enough apart to ride a horse. The Sanguinor as well looks like he has a bad case of Big Head.

Just not a fan compared to Primaris scale stuff.  These almost seem cartoony, comparatively.

And I said "Primaris Scale" at the start of my comment .

The Tortuga stuff is generally bulkier because the goal was to make them more "true scale". Technically all power armor should be fairly bulky in a general sense but most people have their own taste and version of what that means. As is, most of the time the Tortuga stuff doesn't even come with heads or arms unless you add them to your order so you're free to swap out the heads with ones smaller to give it better proportions.

Brother you said firstborn size at the end of your comment, and no one mentioned size prior to your post :P

I would prefer this supposed bulkiness but I just don't see it with these. I see Heroic Scale application to Primaris sized miniatures; these models have oversized heads, hands and feet in a bid to harken back to the earlier GW style sculpts. Those are definitely preferred by some people, just not me.

I'm all aboard chonky Marines. These guys are just "Old School" Marines just sized up.  Not what I'm looking for but a good job at hitting that aesthetic.
