My plan was to have regular chaps in black and D.C. chaps in white because reasons.... I just like painting white I think... but now it doesn't seem like D.C. chaps exist outside of a strat...

 

I was kinda thinking that Priests and D.C. Chaps wear white since they both directly deal with the BA curses and must be the most pure to effectively control their brothers. Also, I'm leaning towards white sanguinary guard with the justification that these guys are super elite and have proven to be able to control their curses or something like that...

So, I definitely know this is not the most competitive (why I didn't post it in the other thread), but I think it should be fun. I added the Lieutenant so I could run 2 Vanguard Detachments and 1 Heavy support Detachment. Not sure if that 1 extra command point is worth it, or if i should remove the Lieutenant and beef up some squads.

 

Game Plan:

Capt, VVs, shooty termies, and the SP in reserves. Termie Ancient and Hammer Termies in the Raider. The Lieutenant will start on the board and run up with the tanks and try to get into position with the assault termies or the deep strikers when the time is right. I plan to drop everything from reserves at the same time, clearing chaff with the termies and blowing away an elite unit or some light armor with the plasma boys. The other two VV squads will deploy behind the other VVs and termies to get a nice charge in the following turn, or deploy somewhere else if need be.

 

 

How terrible will this be? The loadouts on the VVS are not negotiable really even though all the hands are magnetized. I know the hand flamers aren't great and inferno pistols may not be the best, but I think they look cool (which is obviously the most important thing) and wanted to use our special stuff now that it's at least cheap.

 

Things I'm thinking of changing:

-Trade Las Pred for Tri Flamer Baal Pred and add some more VV bodies (this is probably a bad idea, but using two Baal Preds would be cooler and could rush up with the LRR making for an even more aggressive list)

-Remove Lieutenant, lose a command point, add more VVs and maybe a multi-melta to the LRR.
