Subtle Discord
Simply gorgeous, I particularly like the trim. You've got the right idea, set up a large batch and get to work; things do seem to go faster if you assembly line the process. m0nolith
TY everyone for the kind comments So I had 4 of the older resin MKIII Legionaries, almost finished save the bases, guns, and varnish. They didn't exactly fit well with the newer plastic MKIII which IMO are far better than the resin ones. I was actually talking about giving them away or seeing if I can sell them on Ebay. In the end I decided to use them as a unit I can practice some painting techniques on. I'm thinking about using them as Machine Killer Vets since I have some unpainted combi-meltas laying about. I painted up a Sergeant for the squad. He still requires some work with weathering and basing, and I gave him a bolter from another squad just to see what he'll look like when he's done I generally don't like exposed heads, but I think it works for this him. Hopefully I can finish the unit by the end of next week. m0nolith
Good job on the "Machine Killers." Are they so named for fighting the Dark Mechanicum? No its one of several traits you can give your Vets. It gives +1 to pen. m0nolith
And not for something completely different: A Redemptor Dreadnought I'm not starting a BA Primaris force or anything like that. I wanted to try out some other techniques with red. Something with cooler colors and shading. This is more of a "for fun" type project. When I'm done, I plan on selling him. Mostwanted
That is a stunning start on the Dreadnought. Do you use a micron pen for the scroll work or is it paint and brush? These are great Blood Angels you are producing. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/323320-m0noliths-wip/page/5/#findComment-5014047 Share on other sites
