Word Bearers Chaplain that I did for a buddy of mine. Hes going to do the base so it can match the rest of his army. I also have some Cataphractii I'm doing for him so expect to see those soon too.

Looking great on the table top.

Was really fun to play too!

Excellent work.

Thank you :)

Saw that Leviathan in the "Post your Dreadnought" thread earlier -- stunning work! The army also looks gorgeous on the table, judging by the latest pictures.

Its a blast to play too! Last game, my favorite moment was when it charged a hovering Fire Raptor, Hammer of Wrath'ed 2 hull points off of it, and then proceeded to punch it out of the sky :laugh.:

Great battle pics, bro! Good to see your Blood Angels in action

After, what, almost 2.5 years of working on them, I'm happy to finally start playing with them too :P

Nice job on the Word Bearers chaplain, would love to see you do some stuff from other legions too!

I plan on doing a single unit of Iron Warriors Vets with combi-meltas, but thats it when it comes to other Legions for now.

Not counting my Custodes of course.

Looking great. That would also be a nice colour scheme for IX Legion Terminators

Its totally true! Just replace the silver metal with gold and you have BA :happy.:

I'm going to do my own Cataphractii eventually, but I'm going to paint it closer to the way theyre depicted in the next HH Book, gold and black helmets with red eyes.

Phenomenal paintjobs on the Word Bearers!

Thank you :biggrin.:

This is very good work M0nolith, very crisp, nice weathering overall very high marks indeed.

Love that moritat, I have always liked the whole concept with Moritats/Destroyers and this is a great execution, I am a bit jealous that the boys in red gets their meltapistols, you can really make a terror of a super-heavy hunter with the load-out you have there. ;)

So unbelievably fresh and so clean!

I think from a technical perspective, one of the most impressive things is your line highlighting next to your blacklines (e.g. on shoulder pads). They are so clean and uniform.

I love your gold mix, you mentioned that it's Auric Armour, but what's the highlight and the shade? I'm guessing Liberator for the highlight and Agrax Earthshade for the shade?

Like I said on Instagram, fantastic work bro! I really love the damage on the armour and the decals look excellent too. I don't think I ever properly appreciated what a cool mini the Moritat is until I saw your's :tu:

Thanks dude. I love the model as well, too bad BA are the only Legion that can make them viable with the Inferno pistols, and even then he’s just adequate. He’s s high risk high reward unit. A lot of things have to go right for him to make his points back, but when they do, oh boy :D

Well done.

Thank you :)

Moritats/Destroyers really exemplify the “rule of cool”, but like I said above, most games he’s not going to make his points back, but when everything goes right, dissent scatter on deep strike, manages to get a high number of hits, whatever he’s shooting ar is in that 6 inch bubble, good rolling for wounds, if all of that goes right he can wreck a unit several runes his points. He’s a high risk high reward unit, exactly what a Moritat should be!

Damn fine moritat. He looks to have sent quite a few xenos and heretics to the grave. Twin meltapistols much do quite a bit of damage in the right hands.

As fun as turning Xenos to molten slag would be, gotta save those power cells for damn dirty traitors ;p

Your moritat is amazing. How did you get the damage on his faceplate? That looks so good.

Simply make a mark that looks like shrapnel hit the armour or a cut or whatever with either black or dark brown, and then highlighting got the bottom part of it with the last highlight you’re going to do to the model. It creates the illusion that the light is reflecting off the dent In the armour.

Thanks for the kind words! Yes it’s Agrax Earthshade when it comes to the shading, but it’s actually Stromhost Silver when it comes to the highlight of all the metallics and gold.

I cannot truly express my thoughts on seeing that amazing Moritat, given that this is a family orientated forum. Excellent work.

:D I am honoured then! Thank you good sir!

it haunts my dreams XD I WILL NOT START A BA ARMY!!
Do it, give in. You know you won’t be able to resist after Book 8 drops ;)

So I have the same model and was just thinking of building it with the volkite that came with it. Until this one reminded me BA can take inferno pistols. Luckily Anvil has some replacements that can fill in. Some filling and cutting maybe in order to get the power lines connected...
