The models comprise a sort of Kill team I've been working on fluff-wise and model-wise called "Kill Team Honorem". They are made to be a sort of dual purpose unit, one that I can use in a regular game, or one that I can use in a 250pt game of Killteam. However, with this event going by model count instead of points costs I guess this doesn't really matter all that much. However, here are the two "lists" depending on game circumstance.

I know all models are meant to be only a single base color, whilst my vigilator has a black helmet. The helmet is magnetized and I wanted it staying black so removed it when I sprayed everyone blue, I hope this is ok and still satisfies the rules?

Also, excuse the hound. He is a sort of a wound marker for the vigilator and so isn't included in the vow!

Christ, I'm really lagging behind huh? Apologies for the late notification of progress, but I'm still recovering from this blasted cold.

 

Anyhow, I've started dry-fitting some models for the muster; here's a shot of one of the Sergeants, equipped with a Combi-flamer and a power sword. I'll sort out making a vow once I've gotten the whole squad assembled and basecoated. I must admit, I prefer mixing armour marks on 40k SM; it just seems more appropriate.

Quick answer regarding stuff that isn't a Space Marine:

 

Since they're Oathsworn in the fluff, I'll go ahead and allow them. Ultramar PDF would also be allowed. However I think that's more or less the extent to which we're going to accept such things. Otherwise people will be allowed to paint anything they want to and the aim is to focus on the Ultramarines and their Successors, with their allies taking a bit of a back seat.

I'll get the list updated tonight: yesterday was a long and tiring day hence the delay. Apologies, brothers and sisters.

Bit of background, I wanted to include my Knights, as they're Oathsworn, meaning they owe some debt of fealty to my Ultramarines, and as they are House Hawkshroud, they display the heraldry and iconography of their allies, in this case, my Ultramarines. Hopefully their allegiance will be immediately apparent upon seeing the finished models.

Quick WIP shot from my meagre pledge after today's work. I'll try to get a better quality one when they're done.

Remaining I have to base them and do black lining. I cheat on my tabletop standard minis and use a micron pen for this, however mine has dried up so I'm waiting on some new ones. I'm hoping it'll arrive by the weekend. If they don't I'll probably just cave and wash the recesses like a normal person. In the mean time I've at least managed to get the decals done which is something I usually procrastinate over.

 

The observant amongst you may notice the base adaptors from 25mm to 32mm. In case anyone is wondering I got them from Tabletop Adapters. Eventually I plan to up-size all my marines with them. Once the basing material is down it's much less noticable.

Only need to add transfers and discolour the barrels.I was thinking the blue would end up much lighter than standard ultramarines but looking at that photo it's not that different.

To be honest it's the 1000 words of fluff that's been the hardest part to do, I've had difficulty in choosing a chapter/company name and even from the beginning 'Spearhead of Ultramar' was only a title thingy with me having a lack of fluffiness. I was intending this to be a successor chapter (so I could do what I want with it and not worry about stepping all over canon and I'm not doing the same company as someone else) with some links to a heresy era company so I could do 'archive images' for 30k units. However I'm confused about chapter/company structure and how Calth affected the legion which I'm gradually getting my head around thanks to tempest and the very convenient appearance of the thread on comapanies at Calth in this sub-forum. So with this I've just copped out on my fluff and tried to convey the confusion as misinformation, lack of knowledge and just simply unknowns in reports from a person collecting fragments of information written by somebody else just as confused.
