God-Potato of Mankind Posted October 4, 2016 Share Posted October 4, 2016 I toyed with a WE Vet squad to use and got: 1 Veteran Champion - Thunder Hammer and volkite serpenta 6 Veterans - Flamer, 4 power weapons No idea how viable it would be but I would utilise the flamer with suppressive volleys from weapon specialist to pin while the rest of the crazies charge. Tied against a Blood Angels Death Comapy, I was attacker he was defender, but I basically turtled up with my Sentry Gun and forced him to come to me which was a cat and mouse game all the way to Turn 6 with a Single Point being scored on each side. My second game was against Necron Wraiths which hid and moved up to me 12" at a time cause they are considered Beasts . Again I turtled up with the Sentry Gun, but it didn't help, I concided that game to avoid having all of my Team Murdered and maybe not being able to come back next game. All the games were part of the Kill Team:No Man's Land Campaign, so we used all of those rules. While I didn't "win" any games, I feel that the Sentry Gun was definite good choice as it Dictated the Pace of the Game and force my Opponents to change their initial plan and their style of play. I personally find vets and a tarantula work pretty well I have to agree. Tarantulas are pretty broken, they are considered a model and not a vehicle so they can be a specialist.
