The Forge Lord looks fantastic

Love the aesthetics!

Fantastic work mate!

Thank you guys  ! Glade you like him !

Wonderful my dear Malchy!

Keep going! :smile.:

Haha ! Thanks my Murderous brother ! Cool to see you here !

Is the Forge Lord bearing an Eldar weapon (the left hand) to demonstrate martial prowess, to provoke the xenos (and radical Inquisitors who traffic with them), to exploit its destructive power, or simply to show off?

In fact it's not Eldar weapons but artefacts far older than they are ^^ .. The details on where and when Ma'o Toa find them is known only by him. The fact of bearing a Xenos weapon could disturb other Space marines chapter but the "Edict of the Exile" is not forbiding there use by the Carcharodons (and Nebriuson my company master simply doesn't care if his chief techmarine is bearing some frightening and mysterious technologie as long as the fleet is ready and weapons fonctional for the company ^^ )

I think replacing the antenna with something like the antenna bit from the Skitarii Vanguard/Rangers might look great -- but only if you want to. It already is a fantastic model, after all!

Those decorations work so well on that Iron Circle model -- it's Heresy, of course, but lovely to look at

Heresy is my Second name bro ;p

( well I think that make sens at the fluff level that a chief techmarine of an alway looting chapter find the destroyed remains of an automata not seen by imperial eyes for millenia and use his knowlege and skills for restauring it at a "just fonctional" level after twelve years of efforts. What do you think ?)

Awesome work on "Groot"  Your conversions always come out so clean.  It really works with the Carcharodon theme.

Thanks man !

You could clip off the antenna rightabove the first bit that attached to the armour - right where it gets thinner. Drill a 1mm hole in what's left and stick in a straight piece of paperclip that is sanded smooth at the top. That's what I do with my antennas and it yields a very convincing (imo) and most of all sturdy antenna, that will last.

I'll do just that ! it will be perfect thanks for the advice ! Plus it should match the size of the Skitarii antenna advised by Kraut.

Tao is awesome. Love the paint job on the helm.

Groot is also great. This may be blasphemous for me as I love Iron Warriors but it's nice to see that Iron Circle in something other than metallic. The freehand tribal markings are still fantastic.

Thanks mate !

I'm working on a tutorial video for the maorie markings using the automata as support, it souldn't be long now ^^.

Thanks again to all of you guys who took the time to passing by my thread and leave comment, it means a lot to see that my work is appreciated  ! :smile.:

fantastic work all around brother!

I especially like the Night Lords faceplates and all those gorgeous freehand work. Very nice conversions too and I think your thread might help me get my conversion game back on track.

Gotta join the others in hating on the landspeeder bit though  it's just too plain compared to the very detailed rest of the parts.

Excellent stuff. All that freehand is seriously impressive.

wow, those maori tribal markings are looking amazing!

lovely freehands mate!

Not sure how I missed this thread, but I'm glad I found it. A+++ work, very inspiring freehand. Best Charcaradons I've seen hands down.  Beautiful work.

Absolutely stunning

Thank you all for the kind words ;) !!

Than you man ! I have to say that I kinda strugle with the level of conversion on the thread around this section ( big up to Kraut, Kizzdoug and Augustus !)

But It put My conversion game on track and I glade if you like it !

Here are some little advances on the automata, trying to have fun with the weathering right now ^^

Ohhh that Tyberos. Love the work you've done to him. I especially like how the armor around his head looks like an opening maw.

Yay! Shark-maw collar! That's more like it. Seriously, that's a cool conversion. Nice work!

Sweet Tyberos conversion! I love the 'fin'! :biggrin.:

Thank you guys ! Really glade that my take on Tyberos is appreciated ! :biggrin.:

Back to reiterate that these Sharks are simply stunning.

Haha ! Thanks ! It means a lot, really cool of you to drop stop there ! And I hope you'll like what is coming next :smile.: !

Annnnnnd here it comes !

No... Not the hotstepper.. Just Ma'o Toa aka " the Hammerhead", Forge lord abord the Hemiodon battle barge and his unique and dread battle automata "the Niho Maitaï" !

I've take your advice for the antenna and put something thinner instead.

For The Niho Maitaï, I've push myself in therms of weathering with only brush work and I've try to keep a link between "Rocket and Groot" with the only two blue blades and green eyelences in my army.

Malchy.... shoo wee... Groot is incredible! So much detail and awesomeness!!! Your paintjob is top notch and I love the stark white of his face... wanted to say something about weathering there but it looks kind of serene and relaxed in a 'Imma chop u inta lil bits'
