I have a tracking thread going in the AoD forum - I'm on-track to complete the 3,000 pt army by year-end, and I imagine I may be painting for New Year's Eve. Comments always welcome. DaBoiKyknos
This guy looks very cool! :) The quality of pic # 2 + 3 could be a bit better, though.
lionofjudah
NICE!!! You'll have 3k of pepto marines by the new year!?!?!? Blade hand is a lil angular and I can only imagine trying to pin that bad boy evenly;) The highlights in second pic of the back leg look a lil chalky while right leg seems to be smoother- did you edit pics?? Sigh... you're an amazing Painter/converter my man! Looking forward to seeing the whole sordid army shot soon
OwlandMoonGuy
Yes, 3K by year end w/Knight allies, not sure if that's quite cheating or not but I've been looking forward to painting my next knight and he's coming along nicely. Stragely that dagger hand & arm combo come from the assault marine kit (the one that predated the HH line of models) and yes it's awkward from a sizing perspective and how you have to pin it. The pommel didn't quite sit right either when the glue set. I've now switched to G9 superglue which is far superior to others I've used. If only I had that when putting this guy together. The powdery effect from Fulgrim Pink is hard to avoid. I think that's partly due to the soft color but also GW's mix on that particular paint. I just take pictures with my phone and run them through an auto photo clean-up function which can generate an over grainy appearence. I always think the models look better in person. Thanks all for your comments. Cheers, -OMG
