Codex: Imperial Agents

Female inquisitor... nice. Probably gotta pick up at least one - maybe both, depends on the price and exact detail (haven't seen big pics of those models). A shame there's only a single sister model if that is indeed the full list. I already have that model... I have at least 3 seraphim superiors while I only have 8 non-superiors, so no real use for another one of those.

Sorry the forums here is having a bug. I wanted to say once things in my life settle down. Like finding a new job and home. I have an e extra cannones hand that someone mentioned was raided for parts. If you ike to have it I am more then happy to mail it. Just right now everything is boxed up.

Greetings

Always refused to buy the female inquisitors on the grounds of their stupid hair. I still feel that was the correct decision.

Managed to be lucky enough to get hold of the assassin on Monday for £3. Somehow suspect that GW will be charging more than that...

CaptainMarsh found the kiwi update:

"This 136-page full-colour Codex presents background and rules for a number of smaller Imperial factions, whose forces fight alongside other armies of the Emperor. Use the rules, datasheets, wargear and detachments included to add members of the following operatives to any army of the Imperium:
- A full army list for the Battle Sisters of the Adepta Sororitas
- Tech-Priest Enginseers and Servitors of the Adeptus Mechanicus
- Valkyries of the Aeronautica Imperialis
- Battle Psykers and Astropaths of the Astra Telepathica
- Priests of the Adeptus Ministorum
- Kill Teams and Corvus Blackstars of the Deathwatch
- Terminator Squads and Nemesis Dreadknights of the Grey Knights
- The Legion of the Damned
- Assassins of the Officio Assassinorum

A full SoB list is not what I was expecting initially, but I began to think that I may be wrong as we learnt more over time. Now I see it is the case I think it's a good idea on reflection. I liked the old Witch Hunters codex so this is pretty much a return to that (i.e. Sisters + extras if you want them). I'm not expecting the mention of new rules to be for the Sisters, as realistically as with the DE the new range will be busy enough just replacing what already exists.

With some extra toys over the WH codex too (Valkyries and Corvus anyone?) it looks like a nice book to have. I'm hoping the Inquisition get some updates to give them the customisation they need and deserve.

Oh, yes - and no more digital codex! Huzzah! biggrin.png

edit: full squads are back for sale! Now this is a blast from the past - also Immos! Glorious.

Only if they are all marked as an 'agents of the imperium' faction - it is possible that it will be a multifaction book. Will find out soon enough.

As I mentioned there can't be any new units - or rather new model requirements so at the very least it'll be predominantly the current codex. I can see maybe some tweaks here and there but I'm not expecting that either. It'll probably be the same but we'll get our answers soon ;)

Double posting out of the new Canoness thread to ensure people see this:

She's not in a blisterpack but a proper box, which is already interesting in itself (also no sprue pictures, boo). No signs of those being new models behind her in that tabletop shot. They look like the usual models based on the details I can see so no hints there.

Also on the NZ GW page are Sisters available on pre-order:

Seraphim Squad (contains: "...a Seraphim Sister Superior, 7 Seraphim and 2 Seraphim with Hand Flamers, supplied with 10 Citadel 25mm Round bases.")

Retributor Squad (contains: "...1 Sisters of Battle Superior with Power Sword and Bolter, 4 Battle Sisters with Multi-Melta and 1 Battle Sister Squad Upgrade.")

Battle Sister Squad (contains: "...one Sister Superior with Power Sword and Bolter; one Battle Sister with Simulacrum Imperialis; 6 Battle Sisters with Bolters one Battle Sister with Storm Bolter; and one Battle Sister with Meltagun")

Repentia Squad (contains: "...1 Mistress of Repentance and 9 Sisters Repentia, supplied with 10 Citadel 25mm Round bases."

So yeah, looks like the old unit boxes are coming back.

So yeah, looks like the old unit boxes are coming back.

I wonder if those pictures are accurate - they are showing all six of the special weapons variants rather than just the three they hadn't discontinued. Either they have brought them back or they are using the pictures from the 5e WD release...

It's also an interesting choice of heavy weapon for the retributors, perhaps chosen as the worst selling of the three to promote sales of the individual heavy bolter/flamer models.

man... the unit setups are bloody stupid.

Welcome to old school GW where you barely get any opyions in the box and need to buy seperate models to supplement the unit!

Seriously, options come with plastic. Let's just be happy to see cheaper ways to buy models again.

These prices are cheaper? Good lord...

Really really hoping to see a limited edition for the Imperial Agents and some dice. Still... Seeing them get any love warms my heart.

So, judging by VeteranNoob's post in the News forum... we lost Celestine.  We may have also lost Shield of Faith with the option to get it back in a formation.  Lovely that - everyone else gets formations that give them extra stuff for free... we conversely get our stuff taken away and put into a formation.  I'm really bummed about Celestine.  Our only named character is now Jacobus - whom isn't even a sister.  Plus whatever rules (if any - it might just be the normal Canoness stats with options already picked) are in the resin Canoness box.  It isn't clear if there were points adjustments or any buffs, but it looks like the relics are all the same - so we're likely looking at a copy-paste with more options lost.  At least it is a physical book.

Celestine is my favorite.

You know what? If she isn't in the codex, we, the Sisters Players of the B&C, are making a homebrew of her to play with. I can probably get the people I play with to let me use it.

And if people don't want to help with that, I'll do it myself. I'll probably draft up a couple versions.

. . . Or you could keep using her as written from the e-codex :P (but I never miss a chance to write some rules).

We haven't lost St Celestine - she simply isn't an option in CIA, she us still a choice in Codex Adepta Sorortia.

CIA is designed to allow players to build hodge podge armies of faithful Imperial servants from a single book. Which means they buy different models and then, perhaps, start a full army of Sisters, or Death Watch.

We're 99% certain that were actually getting a new codex, with plastic models in the near future.

I am so sure of this that I'm sending back the new telly I just bought so that I can spend the cash on SOB instead. I will have no TV. But I do have faith.

If you're allowed to use the latest rules for things based on GW themselves saying so..couldn't you still put together a full SoB list based on any new rules and still include "the most recent" celestine rules? I mean at this point she'd basically just be supplement material.

I'm going to carry on with her edex datasheet as if it was in the new book until further notice.

Losing Celestine is an outrage if she doesn't get replaced real quick like.

I have a feeling that the new Codex will have her in it. New model and bigger, as in MC bigger ^_^

It hasn't even been confirmed that this is the big special new release of Sisters that was leaked/rumoured. We're not even in Q1 2017 yet so I'm still prone to trust the people with 100% accuracy on rumours. There's still a good chance that we're getting plastics, possibly a codex of our own or at least a big supplement of rules for the models, and celestine back. I mean really..the sisters would have basically 2 HQ choices..one of which is actually SoB and costs too much for what they offer.

GW is just trying to sell out stock and bring out a book with enough rules to do it.
