After talking to Augustus about this army(and how to pronounce b'raass) and not having any pictures to show him I figured I might as well start a blog. So here we go!

When brother falls upon brother,

We become Wolves again

Sentenced to death for his psychic powers and loyalty, Crysos Morturg finds himself in command of several dozen Astartes and a few warmachines from the 14th and 16th legion. Mounting a deviant defence against the traitors descending upon them from orbit.

The section leader himself: Crysos Morturghttp://i.imgur.com/m9RVji7.jpg

A relatively straight forward kitbash based on the limited edition Herald. The backpack is from the red scorpion librarian.

An as of yet unnamed Death Guard siege breaker.

Wielding a Powerscythe and Boarding shield. The scythe is made from the a Talos claw and the handle from the Magos's axe. Right arm is actually a cut up lefty. Head from the Khorne terminators with the chaos star filled in.

The lascannon is just the MM with barrels from the razorback(which were a HORRIBLE cast, even FW would be ashamed of that much mold slippage.)

10 man Breacher Squad

2 Graviton guns, sergeant with plasma and powersword, when joined by the siege breaker these guys can put out a crapton of dangerous terrain templates. A common theme throughout my army is the veritable treasure trove of bits I accumulate.

Heavy support squad

5 Heavy bolters, mostly because I had those laying around, but you can never have enough of them right?(Couldn't get all 5 into focus so you'll have to settle for some mediocre photoshopping.)

Last but not least, the centrepiece of this army: A Macharius Vulcan "reclaimed" from the Istvaanian armouries.

Sponge weathering on the body is mostly done, really happy with how my first tank paintjob is turning out.

Not pictured but already assembled, though not yet based, are a painted squad of Sons of Horus Luna Wolves Tactical marines and 5 Justaerin terminators.

Lastly I'll leave you with a teaser for things yet to come: The Luna Wolf Centurion will have an interesting choice of retinue. Any guesses?

Just started assembling the teased unit and I noticed I had a piece of the silicone mold stuck in a crevice. So to whoever orders this kit from now on: You're missing out on the good stuff.

Here's a teaser pic including: The base on of them will be on, the piece of the mold and a single part of the model.

Beautiful work, but you best reserve the Macharius heavy tank for a game set in M40 and later. Fluff Nazis will undoubtedly complain the tank and its namesake did not exist until millennia after Horus' death.

If anybody comes up with a cool name for this Totally-not-a-Macharius Heavy tank I'm all ears.

Have fun with the powerscythe!

Best use a simple alphanumeric code to designate the "Totally-not-a-Macharius", e.g. "Beta series battle tank with Vulcan mega-bolter main weapon". (FYI, I consider the Baneblade and its variants "Alpha series", the Leman Russ and its variants "Gamma series".)

Alphanumeric codes are an option. But I personally thought about calling it a Kaedes Class Battle tank, after the Raven Guard character, since the Raven Guard were responsible for the Compliance of Istvaan 3. The double barrelled rapid fire weapon matches quite nicely with him being a moritat.

Anyway, here's the third centurion and his retinue of killer robots.

I'm sorry for being absolutely terrible at blogging. Not just bad, nope I'm terrible at it.

Aaaaaaanyway here's a quick update of all the new stuff that's been added to the army:

The praevian has earned himself a paintjob(well 90% of one) for surviving long enough to send a single Vorax on a suicidal charge towards a full squad of terminators with a primus medicae...... which the Vorax then completely ripped apart.

Kibran "The Reaper" had a personality that often got him confused for one of the psychopaths of the 8th. Although he had an innate understanding of the machine, his sadistic tendencies keeping him from becoming a proper tech-marine and his unwillingness to cooperate with other marines ruling out any chances of vehicle command. He eventually found his place leading the Vorax that accompanied the Ordo Destructor war covenant that aided the Luna Wolves in a particularly nasty campaign. After the campaign was over the Vorax were deemed too aggressive even by the predatory standards often associated with their class of combat robot. They were eventually saved from from destruction by a Luna Wolves praetor who saw the effects Kibran could have on enemy morale when in command of the insectiod machines. He probably also saw use in keeping the Psychopathic marine away from friendly lines. Kybran has embraced his role as a terror weapon, heavily modifying a helmet into a leering skull to further dehumanize himself.

Next up are 2 fast attack choices:

Scimitar jetbikes:

http://i.imgur.com/U7nHdvn.jpg

Having supernatural reflexes beyond even his fellow Astartes, sergeant Egraddon first made his name as a recon biker, getting to vantage points faster than anyone else. But his skills truly showed when he first mounted a Scimitar jetbike during the Reillis campaign, where he skilfully piloted his massive steed through several ruined buildings to flank an artillery battery, slaughtering them to a man with precise shots from his heavy bolter. Since then he has more often than not taken to the field with a multimelta mounted to his bike. Each screeching beam of the doublebarreled energy weapon boring straight for an enemy vehicle's ammunition supply marked by his second in command.

Reaver Attack Squad.

Unlike the other Reavers of the 16th, squad Falkurze was composed entirely of Terran veterans trained in the usage of medium range weapons combined with the mobility offered by jump packs. Deemed obsolete by many legions these marines found their place in the shock assault tactics employed by the Luna Wolves. Softening up targets with deadly beams from their ancient Volkite chargers before laying into the disoriented enemy with chain axes and power swords. Lead by a chieftain known only as the Headsman, the squad instead uses the name of their apothecary as a battlefield identifier. Many myths surround the Headsman and his massive power axe, most originating in the Gorro campaign where he racked up an impressive amount of kills on what passed for Ork commanders. Allegedly ending every fight with the towering green brutes with just a single sweep of his axe.

Lastly I'm going to leave you with some very WiP pictures of the magos Reductor who will be leading my allied detachment:

As you can see I removed the Axe and weird comb on his back in an attempt to de-clutter the Belisarrius Cawl model. I also slightly reposed it to further distance it from the base model. There's still a lot of work to be done on this one, mostly greenstuffing to fill all the dents in his armor plates where flasks and other unnecessary details are supposed to go.
