Man i can't imagine how long all that trim must've taken to sculpt... Very cool model, I especially like how you've cut up the helbrute torso, so cool

That's is very much man! Your absolutely right, the trims took ages to sculpt. And I've actually rvisit d it to add more! The Helbrute is a beautiful kit, but it doesn't really.fit the asthetics of my army. So I've just taken the bits I like.

Yeah that's the nice thing with conversions. Takes a while to fill the bits box but then the options increase exponentially.

And please post more of that beautiful trim!

Dread is looking amazing bud, I still say you was robbed on sat. Oh and meant to say I found the other DP vent for you if you’re still after it?

Thanks very much man :) I'm a little disappointed that I didn't win the competition, but those who did win deserved it. There were some truly awesome mini's on display.

I won't need a second one for the new Dread, but it's a really cool part so if your not needing it for anything I'd be happy to take it off your hands.

You got it, I'll post up some more pics once I've finished off the trims before I start painting it.

The vents yours bud, along with any other random bits I find. :tu:

Awesome, I'm sure I'll scrounge up some suitably Khornate bits by Winter War. I'm always amazed by what I find in my bits boxes, there's so much stuff I didn't know I had!

WOW, the conversion work on the siege dread is amazing! The trim is done so cleanly and the chaos bits work so well with the model. Definitely looking forward to seeing it painted up!

Thanks very much :) Hopefully you won't be waiting too long. I'm wanting to get it painted up for a local tournament in November.

That competition looked cool and had some great entries in it.

The dread is also coming along splendidly. It is nice to see the new kit put to proper use. Hard to imagine yours came from the same stock as the blocky ones the primaris use.

Thanks man! I loved the Primaris Dread kit as soon as I saw it, I just had to turn it into a Daemon engine. And get rid of that big beer belly look!

Wow, the dread is just breathtaking! Really really really cool conversion, it just makes my want to get a redemptor for the same purpose! The trim looks awesome, and you've integrated the other chaosy bits very well.

Thanks very much! The Dread is pretty much ready for paint now (I think).

I've added a bit more armour trim, mainly on the front and back of the shoulders. When I was first doing the sculpting work the model was left in a lot of smaller parts, but when I put it all together the shoulder plates looked a bit too plain, so that needed fixed! And I've turned the speaker on it's back into a sonic face so that it fits a little better with the rest of what I've done so far.

I've also added one more detail. After seeing the awesome things Biohazard has done with the same kit (and I'm loving what GuitaRasmus is doing with it as well!) I wanted to make the claw a bit more menacing. I toyed around with the idea of a saw blade, but it just didn't fit the look of my army. So in the end I went with a great big syringe!

Still looking good! The syringe is crazy though!

I mean, that's going to go through a marine in power armor or terminator armor and I looks wicked enough to go through tank armor to get the driver/pilot inside.

Thanks man, I'm really liking the syringe too. Its just so unnecessarily massive!

Really clean sculpting as usual, love the giant syringe. The thought of a big robot with a giant syringe is something I had never considered before, pretty terrifying to think about :teehee:.

Thanks very much! Hopefully my opponents will hunk twice before charging into combat with this Dreadnought!

Nice, looking forward to the painting starting next :) I particularly like the base; nice additions but not too much, is the skeleton from a WHFB box?

I'm getting some Tyranids stuff painted up before starting the Dread, but it should be under way soon. Your quite right, the skeleton is from the AoS Skeletons box.

:cuss YES! That's a machine built for MURDER.

Yup, that's the plan anyway! It'll get its first battle at a local tournament next month, so hopefully it'll do it's fair share of murdering.

If pay-per-view 40k was a thing, I would pay all my credits to watch that fight rednekkboss's Mike Wazowski 'Brute

Thats quite high praise there, thanks very much!

That syringe is insanely good mate! Love it! Where is his head from? It reminds me of a really old skeleton from the screaming skull catapult i think.

Thanks buddy. The head is from one of the old metal Noise Marines. I was going to use the one with the speaker mouth but it didn't fit around the chest.

No such thing. There are people inside of tanks to get to and giant monsters in the material realm and the warp. He's just showing some Emperor's Children perfectionism by bringing a weapon that can take care of anything.

Thanks for all the comments guys!

This ones just a small update to show that I am making progress!  Here's how the Siege Dread is shaping up. Still a long way to go yet, but I'm hopeful to get through it without having to pull any all night painting sessions before the tournament.

Man what an awesome thread Syn! I just finished going through the whole lot. I’m slowly getting my Slaanesh force together, and have been looking for inspiration with a colour scheme for the EC. That purple of yours is just brilliant, and your conversions/ GS work are terrific! I’ll be sure to follow your work
