Graymane
I think this is by far the most impressive scratch build i have ever seen. Truly amazing doesn't begin to cover it. I am lost for words....
Blackadder
Wow, All these replies and I didn't get a single email notification. What do I have to do to be informed of replies? BTW Thank you all for the responses. You have the lead in most forum replies of the ten or so forums I post on; again thank you very much. Eldrick Shadowblade
that's unbelievably impressive. Not sure i would have gotten past the first base of the first foot before throwing it against a wall lol! Awesome work!
RipOffProductions
truly amazing, as someone who has loved looking at these sorts of homemade Titans(hopefully the release of the new Titanicus range will result in tons of folks making stuff at that scale), this is easily the best I've ever seen by several magnitudes, even in this unfinished state. I can't wait to see what you do for the Cathedral.

Second and Third Tier Greave update: In no particular order but to present the detail as completely as possible. https://i.imgur.com/m1SuWaQ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/R0aiUsY.jpg https://i.imgur.com/lyZoUKD.jpg This represents about a day effort figuring out how to make the ornate facets of the upper tiers https://i.imgur.com/N1YogPT.jpg https://i.imgur.com/PWUBPiT.jpg https://i.imgur.com/DTyVXqv.jpg There's much more detail to come on these parts but enough for tonight. Naryn
Lovely, precise work as always! Somehow the picture next to the monitor really hit me with the size of this monster, in spite of all the scale pics earlier in the thread. That’s one big boy! CommodusXIII
Something I've been curious about - what's the difference between the Lucius-pattern and Mars-pattern for the Imperator? I thought that the architectural/rounded/Gothic aesthetic was Mars-pattern, and Lucius-pattern was boxy and angular like this:
Blackadder
Something I've been curious about - what's the difference between the Lucius-pattern and Mars-pattern for the Imperator? I thought that the architectural/rounded/Gothic aesthetic was Mars-pattern, and Lucius-pattern was boxy and angular like this: Well I've never seen this image before but I'd say it was a Lucius Warmonger.. The problem is I've already built a similar beasty; my Lucius Warlord. So let's say the Imperator with the angular components are the Lucius Version of the Emperor Titan that I am building and if someone comes up with a compounded curvy Emperor Imperator; that would be a Mars Pattern....... But it won't be me. Next I'm building a Mega Gargant. Oh! And BTW thanks for the cool illustration. Edited May 25, 2018 by Blackadder CommodusXIII and Sgt. Cryptix
. Dear lord that is a lot of gun . Perhaps the STC of that particular God-Machine is overcompensating just a bit.
Ratboy1664
The sheer insanity of this whole project is what makes the results of your work so amazing, to focus on such tiny details on a model so huge just blows my mind.
Bjorn Firewalker
Dear lord that is a lot of gun . Perhaps the STC of that particular God-Machine is overcompensating just a bit. There's no such thing as "overcompensation" in 'Warhammer 40,000', for the same reason there's no such thing as "too much dakka" in a universe of constant and unending war. (Sees Slaanesh worshippers posing.) Okay, there IS such a thing as "overcompensation," but it doesn't exist outside the minds of the Prince of Pleasure and his deviant followers. Blackadder
And Now For Something Completely Different: This past day I've been working on the final basic structure of the greaves and I took a break; just playing around with the spires https://i.imgur.com/RZvgTA4.jpg but the upper left tiers are basically complete and ready for the detail https://i.imgur.com/QmY9E8B.jpg The process was relatively painless although there were a lot of precision cutting to do I watched old reruns of the Monty Python series while doing the work and the time went swiftly. I never tire of their skits. https://i.imgur.com/4sdHCqy.jpg With the upper leg in place it's much better proportioned than I had anticipated. https://i.imgur.com/AvJXxB8.jpg So here's one leg complete and ready for detail Front view............... https://i.imgur.com/7M6bBul.jpg And Back View. It's going to take me a couple of days to bring the other leg up to this level of completeness. Blackadder
What A Difference A Day Makes: 24 hours ago I was struggling to finish up the second greave https://i.imgur.com/sgyKUx6.jpg which is now completed basically.... https://i.imgur.com/HCSsvdz.jpg And in the meantime I also figured out how to make the main weapon mounts so they can rotate and elevate/de-elevate er depress. https://i.imgur.com/1YSqFXy.jpg Ah; raise and lower.............. The basic structure is fairly simple but plain as a mud fence. So we'll need to employ some ornate kickshaws, but first we need to build the weapons. Blackadder
Doled Out In Dribs and Drabs: Sorry to be doling these updates out in dribs and drabs but I want to show the internal structure of these yokes so those who follow can adapt the construction to their projects. The yoke as you can see is a simple basic structure and I use the geometric forms to cut the angles precisely. https://i.imgur.com/5hWQGBO.jpg Whilst at present the structure looks somewhat crude. A bit of judicious sanding will bring everything into line for a lightweight strong structure that can handle the one kilo weight of each gun........... https://i.imgur.com/Q7qL5Sq.jpg And give me the range of twisting and elevation movement I require for this installation. https://i.imgur.com/6b14ZZj.jpg The scale of the Marine encourages me to think I can actually incorporate some catwalks onto these monster weapons à la ''Odin.''
