Wow, All these replies and I didn't get a single email notification. What do I have to do to be informed of replies?

BTW Thank you all for the responses. You have the lead in most forum replies of the ten or so forums I post on; again thank you very much.

Due to the funky stuff from the DDOS attack a while back, notifications are turned off, everything should be back to normal with the upcoming forum software upgrade

Holy emperor's ghost that thing is monstrous and will bring down the heavens when it unleashes it weaponry haha.

Its been amazing to see this project and how it has come along, amazing vision and attention to detail. Look forward to seeing more!

truly amazing, as someone who has loved looking at these sorts of homemade Titans(hopefully the release of the new Titanicus range will result in tons of folks making stuff at that scale), this is easily the best I've ever seen by several magnitudes, even in this unfinished state.

I can't wait to see what you do for the Cathedral.

Yeah; me too :D Thanks for the reply.

Second and Third Tier Greave update:

In no particular order but to present the detail as completely as possible.

This represents about a day effort figuring out how to make the ornate facets of the upper tiers

There's much more detail to come on these parts but enough for tonight.

Lovely, precise work as always! Somehow the picture next to the monitor really hit me with the size of this monster, in spite of all the scale pics earlier in the thread. That’s one big boy!

Something I've been curious about - what's the difference between the Lucius-pattern and Mars-pattern for the Imperator?  I thought that the architectural/rounded/Gothic aesthetic was Mars-pattern, and Lucius-pattern was boxy and angular like this:

Well I've never seen this image before but I'd say it was a Lucius Warmonger.275494b8cce1c3c96ac31fdeb4819b39.jpg. The problem is I've already built a similar beasty; my Lucius Warlord. So let's say the Imperator with the angular components are the Lucius Version of the Emperor Titan that I am building and if someone comes up with a compounded curvy Emperor Imperator; that would be a Mars Pattern.......

But it won't be me.

Next I'm building a Mega Gargant. :biggrin.:

Oh! And BTW thanks for the cool illustration.

Dear lord that is a lot of gun :ermm:. Perhaps the STC of that particular God-Machine is overcompensating just a bit. :teehee:

There's no such thing as "overcompensation" in 'Warhammer 40,000', for the same reason there's no such thing as "too much dakka" in a universe of constant and unending war.

(Sees Slaanesh worshippers posing.)

Okay, there IS such a thing as "overcompensation," but it doesn't exist outside the minds of the Prince of Pleasure and his deviant followers.

And Now For Something Completely Different:

This past day I've been working on the final basic structure of the greaves and I took a break; just playing around with the spires

but the upper left tiers are basically complete and ready for the detail

The process was relatively painless although there were a lot of precision cutting to do I watched old reruns of the Monty Python series while doing the work and the time went swiftly. I never tire of their skits.

With the upper leg in place it's much better proportioned than I had anticipated.

So here's one leg complete and ready for detail Front view...............

And Back View.

It's going to take me a couple of days to bring the other leg up to this level of completeness.

What A Difference A Day Makes:

24 hours ago I was struggling to finish up the second greave

sgyKUx6l.jpg

which is now completed basically....

HCSsvdzl.jpg

And in the meantime I also figured out how to make the main weapon mounts so they can rotate and elevate/de-elevate er depress.

1YSqFXyl.jpg

Ah; raise and lower..............

The basic structure is fairly simple but plain as a mud fence. So we'll need to employ some ornate kickshaws, but first we need to build the weapons.

Doled Out In Dribs and Drabs:

Sorry to be doling these updates out in dribs and drabs but I want to show the internal structure of these yokes so those who follow can adapt the construction to their projects.

The yoke as you can see is a simple basic structure and I use the geometric forms to cut the angles precisely.

5hWQGBOl.jpg

Whilst at present the structure looks somewhat crude. A bit of judicious sanding will bring everything into line for a lightweight strong structure that can handle the one kilo weight of each gun...........

And give me the range of twisting and elevation movement I require for this installation.

The scale of the Marine encourages me to think I can actually incorporate some catwalks onto these monster weapons à la ''Odin.''
