battle captain corpus
Sons of the 500 worlds! So....a long time ago in a distant galaxy....the Horus Heresy came to an end. Gulliman drew up the Codex Astartes and the 2nd Founding was begun. Now, those of you who have been around a bit (or have read the Space Marine Codex ;) ) will know that the Genesis Chapter were formed as the 1st non legion Chapter. Taking the most experienced veterans of the Ultramarines Legion, they became the perfect example of the new Codex and its uses. But here, more or less, endeth the fluff/canon...... ADB introduced us to (I think!) the 3rd company captain in the Nightlords novels, but other than this little else exists. So I want to try and gather our combined talents and Intel to create some form of list of hobbyists and lore that we have fan made or found about this quite remarkable chapter! Any and all comments and help would be appreciated, even if it's just a comment saying you're a fellow collector of one of the oldest chapters known to humanity! Cheers! Lords of Preyspire
Cool idea, I like that your chapter is m35. I'm a big fan of ultramarine 2nd and 3rd foundings. Good luck and happy hunting! I'll be following along. battle captain corpus
Quick update folks, have now built 4 of the Assault marines without jump packs, and the remaining members of the first combat squad. battle captain corpus
Finished the test mini. The rest of the project probably won't look like this but it's the thought that counts! The legs are Running Legionnaire legs by Kromlech. The heads are the Maxmini Steam Knights versions. The rest is GW standard issue other than the Base which is by Tinyworlds. Cost wise the marines become an eye watering £5 each pretty much.....but then I'm never going to get the chance to do this again! battle captain corpus
Thank Brother Captain Firelupus! To be honest I won't be getting the chance again to do this kind of project so it's nice to have the best bitz etc that I can get! Captain_Krash
Really nice so far! Where did you get the shoulder pads? battle captain corpus
@Krash, the sculpted shoulder pads are an old GW product which they unfortunately do not produce anymore.....luckily I have 100 of them :D Another quick update. So bases are coming along nicely! Quick spray of Grey primer. Then washed with Druchi Violet. Then Rhinox Hide is painted onto the loose rubble. Then it's Drybrush with Pallid Wych Flesh followed by White Scar. Lastly Agrax Earthshade is applied to the recesses, and the Base edged with Rhinox Hide. :) Also I've made some progress on the Tactical Squad Veteran Sgt. Captain_Krash
Really nice bases!
