This was the first vehicle I painted. I didn’t paint another vehicle until the last month or so when I finished my Razorback I really enjoyed painting the Razorback so I decided to add A predator I was happy with the Razorback but I didn’t feel the warpstone glow showed up enough on the table top so I did a 2to1 mix with moot green i the predator as a middle highlight. Honda Posted February 10, 2018 Share Posted February 10, 2018 A couple of years ago, we had a campaign going and one of the factions involved was a Renegades force. So I put together some oddball equipment as fit the story line. Then I sold them. But they were fun to put together, paint, and play with while it lasted. The paint schemes were based on examples from the Siege of Vraks books. Alas, the new owner will have to decide that. :) In general, I'm not a big fan of the spikes thing, it just seems very impractical, though I can definitely see bodies and whatnot as decorations. However, that's not really my jam, which is why I unloaded them. It was a fun modeling exercise though. It was my intention to have them similar to a periscope system on a sub, so that they retract into the Rhino beside the driver. I did not actually measure them out and went on plus/minus when setting them up, so yeah, likely not "exact" but I am ok with it. Oh, and the reason I gave it a hatch was to give it a feeling of molecularity, where the antenna area could be removed and replaced with a self-defense system. Based on need of course. Could potentially let you forgo sponsons if you wanted to slap some decorated doors onto your predators. At any rate I really do like the innovation!
