Now now, dont forget 8th ed is super cool because you dont need to take multiple books to play an army like you did in 7th.

Alternatively, you could play open or narrative games, neither of which use the point system and still somehow manage to remain quite fun and relatively balanced.

On a related note : those point updates are a kick in the balls for my black templar army, I have the misfortune of often putting on the table a single dakka stormraven and a land raider crusader (the only two vehicles that provide a satisfactory delivery vector for my CC units). That's a net +100 pts right there.

Now, I understand that both the TLAC and hurricane bolters were undercosted, but damn...

They don't need to wait for codex now. So could be any time.

Why don't we have them now?

We can like the new GMNDK kit bash the existing Primaris minis to make them GKified.

Edit; Feel lucky you actually have access to other vehicles Ciler!

We only have LR, Ravens and Razors.

All of which got hiked in price.

I assume you don't have them now because they plan to make actual models for them, whereas the ndk grandmaster they have absolutely zero plans to release as its own thing.

Bangels and Dangels are getting thier own Primaris minis as well. I love the look of the Bangel Primaris!

They still had access to the normal ones from day 1.

So why are the GK being treated differently?

Because GK are fundamentally different from any other Chapter in the Imperium? There's little point in whining about it here on the forum, GML.

Back on-topic, this seems like a big mess. I'm glad Primaris and Death Guard are made more viable but some of the other points adjustments thoroughly confuse me.

Has anyone confirmed Gmans increase?

Just go a couple or three of pages back in this very thread.

Or have a look here.

Not any more we're not. 10 brotherhoods, same codex design.

Unless by fundamentally different you mean denied all the stuff every other chapter gets for no reason. ;)

No 40k tau point shift = new dex soon?...

No 40k tau point shift = new dex soon?...

It has to be so, as almost everything in that codex is either over costed and/or pants.

A recent FB post mentioned that the next round of scheduled releases would be announced "soon," but what that relative window is is up to you.

Warhamcom said that there'd be a big announcement on Saturday (today), which coincides with open day.

One of the first leakers on 4chan (different images of the same pages) said Tau after Daemons. Salt as needed.

We'll either know today, or we won't.

Nah There doesn't seem to be any sign of Guilliman at all in the Space marines section of point changes even though GW said he was going to be changed :( I think either GW lied to us like with Cawl or screwed up which will require a FAQ for a book meant to be a FAQ book :D Edited by Plaguecaster

My armies stuff is not even in those leaks and I'm already pretty disappointed. The Chapter Approved is supposed to adjust the really obvious flaws but it didn't even touch most of them. Let's hope it was only a slip up because it's still very early in the edition and they are still busy releasing Codexes and not the level of things we can expect for future Chapter Approved releases as well.

Calling it now: the biggest loser of CA is the Typhon Heavy Seige Tank.

It needed to drop by 150-200 points to be worth considering next to IG superheavies.

It *increased* by 200.

The Falchion and Fellblade also inflated. Maybe they are getting considerable buffs from a FW update. They have to be. No other reason to go up in points when baneblades and shadow swords are so much better and half the cost

What's going on with Necrons? Much of their stuff is hideously over priced.

MIA from the Matched Play updates along with Tau. Both have severe points costs issues so the best guess is that they are coming along fairly soon after Chaos.
