Angelus no more... Malevolence is Now!

I wouldn't mind if FW milks its HH black book series for every drop it's worth...

Just cuz BL is starting the Siege, doesn't mean FW must follow suit, or does it?

I agree, but I think the only difference between the Heresy book series and the Siege book series are semantics.

Its the same series, the name change has more to do with BL marketing than anything.

When FW gets to the Siege, 10 years from now :D , its going to be called the Horus Heresy because, well...that's what the game is called.

Didn't realize Wolves were no longer getting covered. That's a shame!

Hopefully we'll see Deathsworn soon...

It is a shame, however we have gotten Infernal. Therefore cannot be too greedy.

Will be nice to see more legions added via Malevolence & some armies need updates/ missing models more than the Wolves.

Wolves might come around in the DA book and we could see Wolfsbane and Uarant scenarios.

Uarant sees a lot of legions converge to kill off the Wolves (SoH AL plus other traitors) and Raven Guard with some shattered legions mixed in.

Would make a very good general update book for multiple legions

TBF that sounds like it could be it's own book almost!

DA will be full to the brim already with DA, NL & Dark Mech :P

Just to add here, spoke to FW staff at last week at Warhammerfest in Germany.

One of them has received a copy of HH Malevolence for review very recently and after that sort of final proofing is done, it goes to the printers, which he estimated would take 4 months.

So in movie terms, this book is in post-production. EVen though they have maintained throughout that they wanted to get this book out in 2018, he estimated it would probably come out very early next year.

I keep hoping for December myself, but possibly January or the HH Weekender. I am surprised to hear that about the Space Wolves, they were clearly mentioned as being in just a few months ago. Shame if that is the case.

The Titandeath/Beta Garmon book will come out in January, as per Andy in the seminar last week. And he would know.

Malevolence did not have a date but it seems likely that this will come out at the Weekender , I agree. I want it sooner, but that doesn't make it so unfortunately :)

BTW I listened to that Age of Darkness podcast and Pendraigg isn't really sure on the Space Wolves, he says they will still be mentioned in the narrative but no rules.

Ah, I got it mixed up with the "Warhammer Fest Europe Weekend"...my bad

Yeah, I do recall now that Feb. should be the month of the HH Weekender. I am just surprised we might get a release in Jan. and then another release in Feb.

I think this is because it is from different teams.

The Beta Garmon book ( Titandeath) was written by Andy Hoare and I believe the other writer is Owen Barnes, they are from the Specialist Games branch.

Malevolence is written by the team that used to be the great Alan Bligh's team, so Neil ( who was always co-writing Black Books with Alan) and Anuj, who is new.

I think that's true now that Andy Hoare has been promoted to manager of some sort, but he's written a lot for the 30k black books over the years.  Autek Mor's story on Bodt is the only one I know of for sure, but he's been doing it since at least book 3.

Oh interesting. The Bodt stuff was decent, quite a bit better than what I've read of his BL work. Maybe the form suits him better.

Yeah for sure, he's deffo more of a fluff and technical writer than for novels I think.

He's also done a few of the Titan legions that are covered in the various Black Books apparently.
