Brother Harnil
Well, this may be the scale to go for me if I want to get detail done in the future . At my age and with the current range it's getting hard even with the glasses and magnifier lamp Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/351170-barners-sw-primaris-progress/page/18/#findComment-6106409 Share on other sites

At my age and with the current range it's getting hard even with the glasses and magnifier lamp Oh I get you, I'm 54 and my old eyes ache when I do normal scale. I would say that sometimes the size can create it's own challenges, you end up going down a rabbit-hole on the detail that can't be seen from 3 feet away and just handling them can be an issue, I always add a layer of varnish after each section so I don't rub off what I've just done. Brother Harnil
I have the set as well, hands itching. First have to come down from being overwhelmed by bits, then I may have a go at the battle leader, making him a Krom crossed the rubicon proxy. I wanted to start with the Characters, but I knew if I did, I'd just feel meh about the foot troops when I got round to them. sbarnby71
Got hold of a duplicate body of the first Head-Taker on ebay for cheap, so I wanted to make him as different as possible. Removed the knife and added a belt from the old SW kit. Added some extra rune stones. Primal Hounds chest decorations and removed the small wolf skull from the chest plate. Halberd from the AOS Chaos Warriors. Severed heads from the AOS Choas Warriors (he is a Head-Taker!). Used the cape and back from a AOS Chaos Warrior and added some rough fur. The shield on the cape had 8 pointed star of Chaos, so removed that Added a Daemon skull with a ball-bearing and some picture frame wire to show it being bolted in place. Helmet is a Hersey Era 3d print I got ages ago (will need to adjust the neck).
