WIP Forge World Sigismund - 1st Captain of the Imperial Fists

Started this guy a long time ago and he sat in a basecoated state for well over a year! Cracking on with him now. WIP for now. Unfortunately not a great cast, robe has suffered and some slippage is visible on a couple of spots, but hopefully not too bad once painted up

Shouldn't he be wearing the black armour of the knights templar?

He doesn't don black armour until the traitors besiege Terra and takes up the title of the Emperors Champion

Thanks, wasn't sure when he got it but knew he wore black armout

I have been grinding away on Sigismund. Mostly his base, going for an Alpha Legion scheme for the debris to contrast his yellow armour. Pretty happy with how it looks now. On to weathering! C&C welcome.

The base is well-painted. Sigismund is also well-painted, but why are the molecular bonding studs on his right pauldron, painted yellow instead of a metallic color?

Still very much a WIP dude. Long way to go yet. Studs will either be the same black as his pauldron trim or a really heavly shaded metal. I´m undecided so far

Ok, on to the arduous task of weathering! Just the base for now. I always get a tad nervous weathering especially after I have gotten the paint job to a place I really like. But these diorama style bases really benefit from it. Still WIP, got some more effects to add such as powders and pigments. So, no guts, no glory! C&C welcome!

He is now as finished as he is ever going to get! I originally went a little overboard with the weathering and had to dial it back a bit which was not a pleasant experience! Until I get some proper pics, here is my finished Sigismund!

Okay so I have managed to get back to an image hosting site so I can finally upload some proper photos!
