Kasrell's "Formation of Damnation" - Heretic Astartes

Hello everyone.
Im really slow painter, especially then it comes to paint something for myself. I'll post here some Death Guard models i've done in pair with my wife in last year or two. 

This Typhus was painted for myself back in 2018 just to test color scheme and my friend asked me to paint one for him in same colors, so we decided to trade them. He got my painted one and i recived brand new sprues, that were laying on shelf for almost a year.  

At this time we are painting Typhus and terminators. This one is almost finished. Rusty pigments and Destroyer Hive are on the way

 

Second will be painted in colors of my army - dark yellow with dark blue shoulders. Im still thinking how to paint his helmet - cool white or use warm bone tones.

Decided to paint Hive later, so he'll stay like this for a while

 

My first Lord of Contagion with weapon and head swapped finally done. Added pigments to his and Typhus' recesses. Not satisfied how smoke looks like, but i'll fix it later.

finished this Blightlord today, gonna upload four others this night or tomorrow. only horns and teeths left on them, but it takes almost 7-8 hours to assemble and paint one model...

 

also a while ago i tried to kitbash some possessed from plague marines boxes and bits.

this artwork was taken as a concept, but my attempts to kitbash them failed that time. only few backpacks and arms were completed.

 

I thought that one day i'll build single squad with ccw-only options and use most mutated parts from boxes and backpacks to use them as possessed

So for now i have more than 40 plague marines and trying to give 'em all unique look or at least weapons until i can force myself to start sculpting mutations or pillage my bitsbox.

dont belive them, dont look at them, it's a trap.

we already painted 20 of them last summer and there are 50 more to go in the box, waiting to be painted. it takes me almost a whole day to paint 2 poxwalkers, thats why i prefer terminators and marines

since we dont have Nurgle Sorcerer in terminator armour i kitbashed my own from Deathshroud' body

I'm simply amazed at how good these are. They are very clean yet still have the death guard grunge to them. You are very talented my friend.

The only thing I am not a fan of is that Sorcerers pose... to me it does not work. I'm sure it will look amazing when painted though!

Idea behind his pose was that he is casting a spell - raising poxwalkers beneath his feet, and his arms are open wide, but somehow i forgot to change face direction and now he looks kinda weird. so if i'll make a base with crawling zombies it may help a bit

plus im not satisfied with  axe' size, maybe i'll swap it with a big one from plague marines box

speaking of talent.. this is how my works looked a year ago. technics are all the same - basecoating, wash(if needed) and extreme highlishts, just 1 color per operation. Everyday practice very helps at this type of painting, so its just practice and patience.

Changed Sorcerer's axe with a bigger one and it turned out pretty well i think

 

plus i decided to make him a pet.. or familiar. legs are very thin but im not sure if pair from Bloodcrushers kit will look better

only skin left to do and i'll start painting him with a sorcerer
