Mandragola Posted July 9 Share Posted July 9 (edited) This weekend I played three games of Titanicus! It was great to get my engines on a table again and march them around. I managed to win two games and lose one. My opponent in game 3 had a Regia Warlord in the back corner and earned 34VPs for keeping it alive, which is a good tactic it turns out. Titanicus is a great game. It’s also a bit of an odd one sometimes. My first opponent was one of those people who say “I like to run my titans hot”, so his Seniores’ Reaver had a catastrophic meltdown at the end of turn 1 and that was pretty much that. My other games, against an Oberon Extermigus and Mortis Regia, were much better. The Oberon warlords huddled in the corner but I managed to get my clawlord ancross the board and punch one over, before aadly succumbing. Actually in the three games I only lost that warlord, twice (both times after killing an enemy warlord), and some knights. My three Warhounds survived every game. I’m not sure when I’ll next play AT. “Serious” AT gets a bit weird in my opinion and I don’t like things like vortex missiles at all. I’m really enjoying kill team at the moment and far more people play it near me. Plus there’s the new 30k on the way. But this was a good day.
