These rule. Note that the two sprues in the middle come without chunky bases so they can be more easily be placed on the warlord/warbringer gantries! A nice touch.

The big magos is cool but those principes and moderati, oh man. Not for the titan's base as such but I kind of want to set out the entire crews for each titan as a separate thing, as though at muster or in procession. Maybe with a smaller copy of that titan's banner... It would be a lot of dudes. Five-ish per warhound, seven-ish per reaver, nine plus for the warlord. Tempting.

If you want to do separate crews, you could arrange them into small groups with heraldic banners and use those to denote which command terminal belongs to which titan.

Article from war come today was helpful...but not anything new if you’ve already read the rules.

Now that the two new weapons are finally coming out they don’t have any material to re repost lol. Would be nice if we got a roadmap at the bare minimum or some new model ideas.

Also, just got done reading the awesome WD batrep. Definitely a thematic game, but both sides didn’t pull punches and had some cool Titan loadouts. If you’ve got a few bucks burning a hole in your pocket, I’d recommend picking it up for a read.

Lovely armies btw:

TIAT I ordered the Starter Set, Defence of Ryza, and another box of Warhounds. The Engines will walk! Soon!

Just gotta decide on Legio. Maybe DIY

Welcome to the game. You'll have a lot of fun here.

Urgh that article just made me angry tbh, WD is waiting whilst i finish up last months, im basically holding the good content hostage :biggrin.:

Articles on WHC are aimed at the wider GW audience, most of whom don't play AT. It's written to try and encourage new people to play the game, which is a good thing. I admit I didn't make it to the end of this one but I'm not who it has been written for.

Edit: Ok I read the rest of the article. It would have been nice if the WHC article on orders was actually correct. They manage to miss out a whole lot of important things, notably getting the rules on when you can and can't turn wrong.

For example on Full Stride "What It Does: When the Titan activates in the Movement phase, it can go full speed ahead". But the actual point of full stride is that you move in the combat phase, not the movement phase.

Yeah except these articles are generally previewing something, which is what people expect. Especially when the roadmap going forwards is completely blank because everything has been released or is going on preorder this week.

So to get an article aimed sooo low and so technical is bizarre, (even before the two errors, which is impressive given the paucity of content) I think its only going to be useful for tiny number of people who have played the basic rules but not moved on to the full game yet, i cant imagine reading the orders rules would get anyone interested in the game who wasnt already tbh.

Its frustrating, and between this and the preview event it looks like no new AT content for months now :/

Actually, that is a thing that seems to happen. Over at Dakka, for an example, there were a couple of folks who either don't play or haven't yet gotten around to do so despite owning miniatures who were excited by the read. To quote one such,

It was kind of a "hey, if you're unfamiliar with this system, here's a sampling of how GOOD it is."

Despite many people getting a bit jaded, especially over things they really really like, there are plenty of folks out there who are new to whatever might be the topic of the day. Same as any other subject one is intimate with: I too sigh when I read popular science news full of errors or pedagogical failures, yet still laud their existence because somewhere someone gets a spark of inspiration from them.

Specialist games seems to be blowing full steam on Necromunda. Horus Heresy and Adeptus Titanicus have been left on the wayside for quite a while now.

Each Specialist Game gets its time in the sun, which I suspect is dictated more by the development/production lead times for plastics than by popularity. After all, plastics production takes a full year, so what we see today is based on decisions made a year ago.

Titanicus seems to be doing well for them, but they are clearly making cautious business decisions about most of the Specialist Games. I'm OK with slow and steady.

Got in another warlord (hello extermigus maniple) and some carapace weapons.

Time to stick my finished warlords in the freezer to break the super glue on my current carapace weapons because I was a nicompoop and didn’t magnetize them :/

Nice. My 4th Astorum Warlord is coming along slowly, so I'll have an Extermigus of my own. I've sculpted up a new piston for a set of FW turbo lasers because one was missing when I got them. That really bugged me and stopped me from getting round to painting these guns, but they'll be pretty nasty as Extermigus.

I was this close to talking myself out of buying it. I have yet to play a game, but that’s because my gaming group is slow on AT and they’ve been gearing up for an Isstvaan Apocalypse Heresy game.

Got my Ursus Claws on pre-order with FW today.

For some reason I thought pre-orders weren't going to go up till tomorrow, but lo-and-behold...

Also got the hose adapter to allow me to use my airbrush on my new compressor/tank that should make airbrushing easier.
