I love how many AT fans (myself included) are clearly just using the Titans as an excuse to finally set up that indoor model railway they've always wanted. How long until someone just gives in and uses z-scale electric trains?

Ah, but then just tear those electric train models apart. Either convert them into grimdark design, or remove the casing and build another one around the electric engine. :)

I can neither confirm nor deny massive plans for an On30 early 1900's layout for playing Dead Man's Hand on.

Well, that went without saying didn't it!?

Well grim dark terrain also does heresy trains lol.

@winterdyne I'd recommend sticking with the mousepad if it's for gaming. Molded on topography tends to present problems with a lot of model games, especially in games with arcs of vision.

A clever chap could mount the Grimdark train bits on a Z-scale rail chassis... Just saying...

I would love to see that done!

Finally got weather decent enough to spray prime some more titans so working on the 2 warhounds & reaver of my venator maniple at the moment, even doing all three at once feels like a breeze compared to the warlord

Well, my FLGS did his pre-orders for this week. Got the Warmaster and the Battleforce pre-ordered. My Ignatum is about to get a much larger amount of Titans now :D

Now I need to wait and figure out what's up with the Legio Ignatum transfers and why they weren't on his pre-order sheet...

took a punt at making these plasma coils look like metal being heated internally by the blastgun firing & think it turned out pretty decent?

The coils look the part, I'm trying to do something similar as I don't want weapon glow to dominate the look of my legio. How do you do it if you don't mind me asking?

Cheers

yeah of course:

base mephiston red, wash with thinned orange (how yellow the orange you use is will basically dictate how 'hot' the effect looks), drybrush black, drybrush warplock bronze on the outermost edges

this version is relatively subdued, but if you wanted it brighter, you could got with an orange base & yellow wash

so, an idea popped into my head yesterday; for people that want to heavily customize the upper carapace of Warlords, how fitting or not do you expect the Warmaster's shoulder/bicep weapons to serve as representations of a Warlord's carapace weapons?

Not really. They look a lot smaller and compressed, which is of course fine if you build an outer housing for them on top.

I’ve been thinking it might be possible to do something with a spare pair of laser blasters. Leave the guns off and allow various barrels to be magnetised on the front.

You’d probably want to alter the heat sinks at the back too. Those are distinctively laser bits in AT.

TIAT, and in preparation for the Warmaster landing in a week or so’s time, I’ve been working through the last of my AT backlog with my second batch of non-Lancer Cerastus knights! These all had a hair dryer taken to them to bend the cabling so I could have a bit of variety in the weapon poses. Next up my last two Fureans Warhounds (for now...) and a bunch of name plates I’ve just received from Battle Bling on Etsy, updates on those to follow!

Looking good, Zodd. It's fun to see the knightly horde grow in the shadow of ones titans.

Thanks! Yeah, I know what you mean. They started as simply support banners for my Atarus titans, but as I wanted at least one of each type, it soon adds up, so now I can do a really sizeable Household force too! Not sure it’s any good, or that much fun to play, but I’ll give it a go once lockdown allows.

Got my pre-order in for a Warmaster, Loyalist book, and 3 of the transfer sheets.

As I do my own units, I'm actually looking for the non-Legio specific parts of the transfers, so if someone missed out...

But looks like things are still in stock so far...

I resisted the urge to pre-order two Warmaster titans, I just ordered one and also ...

and also the Loyalist Legios book ...

and also one precept maniple battleforce ...

and some glue ...

and some bases

and that's all for now :biggrin.:

Last night in Titanicus, I finished off my Titanic pile of shame! (Ready for some additions to it at the weekend...) Two more Fureans Warhounds, including name plates from Battle Bling Store on Etsy. Getting round to sticking them on all my existing titans, about half way done so far!
