Yeah I hope that's the case but considering that this guy has been providing legit .pdfs I think what he is relaying is pretty ironclad. Either way I look forward to the discussion that comes with this book for GK, DA and TS.

So to quote a famous last words, I got a bad feeling about this.

First some notes:

1: The Dark Angels that will be helping the GK's are any Psykers.

2: 1K sons have been gathering and sacrificing Psykers and making more psyker converts from a sacrificed one.

3. Magnus is not dumb and seems to be attempting to manipulate the prognosticars on Titan.

What if it's Magnus's plan to draw in as my psykers (GK's) as possible to ambush them. It's also possible he would manipulate the DA who hate psykers from past experiences and draw that to draw them into betraying the GK's.

So what would Magnus to gain in ambushing the GK's and potentially "sacrificing" so my psykers?

Tide of Shadows, wow.

"On or within a terrain feature" lol. Brutal. Models ranging from a Nemesis Dreadknight to a 5man Strike Squad equally benefit from such rules. Fantastic!

Well-deserved, boys.. Good luck.

So we also get an extra 6 psychic powers in the new psychic discipline? Two of them are revealed already:

1. Empyrean Domination WC 7 - gain 1CP.

2. Warp Shaping change your current (army-wide) Tide.

Would this make GK librarians viable as just 2 of them can give you access to 4 out of 6 powers from the Dominus Discipline?

I'm wondering are Purgation Squads equipped with psycannons worth it now? Tide Convergence essentially makes them 16 S8 AP-1 D2 shots per squad without any CP cost.

+1 Damage, not AP. 16 shots of S8, AP-1 D2

Oh, the Emperor, you finally heard us!

Years of sufferning and torment finally paid off. Even if we've got only previewed stuff, we would be already tier 2 army.

I wonder, if psychic onslaught will stay. I hope so. SIngle volley of 9 -2 2 damage will munch through MEQ stuff. 6 -1 d3+1 psilencer for just 2 pts and 2 CP. Can't believe that our iconic Psycannon is back to the fray!

The only problem so far is that +1 to smite damage looks sticktly better. PseudoRG is good for first 1 or 2 turns, until we get in close combat. The best thing about it is that 12" range doesn't deny it. Both other Aspects are still decent, but double smite is just beats them, because any unit benifits from it.

Litany is meh. You don't want Chaplain to babysit a purgation squad in cover.

All psychic powers mentioned are awesome. Problem with CP is resolved once and forever. Double strike squad battalion is now kinda forced choice for competition.

Relic is OK in some cases, but we already have better generalist choices.

Looking forward to full rules but I'm more than happy with them. We always asked for one thing or another but got everything at once.

@ Corvus - you're right but he could babysit a unit of terminators deep striking 13-15" away from the enemy into cover and popping double shots from their storm bolters.

GK also will have a stratagem called Dynamic Insertion for 1CP. Pick a unit with teleport strike, set up outside 3" (can't charge)

Incinerator Purgators: *breathe heavily*

EDIT: Meh, they don't have teleport strike ability, and wording specifically requires it. :(

This is really cool! I really like how we can just change what active power we have whenever we want (assuming passing a psychic test).

I wonder if we can change tide mid psychic phase?

Use the tide of escalation from the last psychic phase to get all your smite out the way, then change to whatever you need after?

yes it is one half of the Raven guard CT with a subtle difference, the GK one says "unit" whereas the RG one excludes vehicles.

It does specify 'A unit with this ability', so it remains to be seen which units gain the ability. Vehicles could still be excluded.

I kinda wish they called the cover power the shrouding though as a throw back to our old ability.... But oh well can't complain! Edited by Captain Coolpants
