Runic Awakening: Speculation

Dark Shepherd

Pre order Sunday announcement is up, no wolves or Orks in sight. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2020/02/16/sunday-preview-reenter-valhalla-and-more/

Valhalla is clearly a clue about the Norse after life and the hall of the slain!!

If we connect these dots GW is telling us ... [insert tin foil conspiracy about Logan dying....Ragnar becoming chapter master and going primaris....and Russ returning for the Wolf Time]

It is all so clear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a good read, definitely feel the desperation from this Chapter. It mentions the Wolves a lot in this story. The battle they fought on together, the prized vehicle the Wolves gifted them that the Chapter Master does not want destroyed, the description of the Wolves and wishing he had but a few with him, the hopes that the Wolves return, and the hope that the Wolves return again. This gives me a lot of hope that we will see something soon for ourselves or the Orks.

Next week is the toy reveal in New York, so probably a reveal either during the week, maybe next Sunday, or the week after, depending on how much they are going to reveal in New York.

If it's a big reveal, not sure that they'll put Ghaz alongside it.

Reveal for toyfair is this sat, 10am est. I expect it to be specialist games, new factions for necromunda, and expansions for current necromunda. New wsrcry stuff, Blackstone Edited by Triszin

It wouldn't surprise me if they finish showing off Ghaz with a video teaser on Saturday, to get people to go the community site to look at the toy fair preview.

I think Saga of the beast will have a pretty good shot of being up for preorder on the 29th. Get people in the store for exclusive models and then convince them to preorder a big boxset.

This will be wild if true. Definitely the return of the Beast size strength/intelligence from M36. Ghaz has ascended. Although this would be insane as a scale considering your normal dreadnought is only as tall as a Redemptor's legs (model wise, no idea if that is canon).

I posted before how the skull on Ghaz's base is from the hundred skull packs. Judging by that skull size it is the redemptor base plate, and judging the ratio of plate and Ghaz's height, it is redemptor sized. So either that is correct or the skull is tiny and not from hundred skull packs (which are already tiny). Since the Primaris initiative, GW has had scale and ratio in mind. The BL termies and Abby are good examples how the fixed the arm-ear and weapon scale.

Brothers (and sisters), I've read this thread with so much interest and now it strikes me the similarities of this and the board of peanuts they sell in Pubs (this may not translate well outside the UK)…

The board had 30 or so packs of peanuts covering a pretty girl, it was obvious she was not wearing much, so the more bags of peanuts that were bought, the more we saw of the girl, now the barman would always pick the bags strategically so as not to reveal what the girl was wearing until there were only a few bags left.  When the girl was finally revealed she would be wearing a bikini (but we all hoped she wouldn't be!), so after all the anticipation we'd be a bit disappointed, we hoped for more, but we'd still keep going back buying the peanuts from each new board they put up in the hope that one day, we'd get what we wanted.

...But that didn't happen for any of the PA books...

No but we know there is a ghazgull model, and there has to be a space wolves model. they couldn't leave us without one when all others worth mentioning have had one (xenos and heretics are never worth mentioning). So logically its doubtful they'll release 2 separate models when it would be more worth while to release a box set with both charaters leading their armies.
