I really like that starter. I was considering getting reaver and warhounds, guess I drop that plan and just wait.

Kind of disappointed only one kind of psychic titans though, I really hoped Legio Xestobiax would be first as unlike Sinister they don't even need upgrade bits. Also, psychic reavers. Mm-mm :ph34r.:

And are those stones being used to counterweight the crane?  Really?

Out of curiosity, what did you expect? Skulls? :whistling:

Real life cranes use concrete slabs because they are cheap, don't stop working if the power is cut, and no big loss if you have to emergency drop them:

To be honest I've never seen the individual blocks like that, the cranes I've seen have covered backs so I've never thought of the counterweight being a hopper of concrete blocks.  I'll need to beef up my crane when it becomes a club.

I assume the official psi-titan weapon will be resin and I'm really curious what it will look like.  There's no official art for it and the image in the 30k army book has the gun kinda darked or blanked out.  Book 7 I think?

I'm pretty sure the warlord would do more damage with just its fist than if it was holding a crane. The crane would just bend if you banged it on a titan.

That's boring though. Rule of cool dictates that your warlord should bash things with whatever it can get hold of. An enemy Titan's amputated bellicosa would be my choice.

I wonder if I have one, for some reason I should have like 10 but I don’t.

https://www.warhammer-community.com/2020/02/02/new-tau-new-titans-and-more/#gallery-36-1 Holy moly but looks like Ignatum and Metalica have finally arrived, along with houses Terryn, Taranis and Krast.

The big names! And confirmed 'modern' iterations of Ignatum and Metalica iconography. Lotta good wasps there and a useful hive-cells pattern.

*looks at nearly finished Custodes titans*

*thinks*

*strongly debates blocking in colors on my Custodes titans to make them Legio Metalica*

*cries*

Solution: buy more titans :biggrin.:

Your custodes titans are class, I wouldn't touch them.

Or swinging an amputated warlord head by the cabin’s umbilical connection. Like a sock full of pool balls at a riot.

As much as that makes sense for rule of cool, I don’t think it’s how titans are constructed. The back of the head isn’t a load of cables like you might have with a robot (though I’m sure there’d be some, carrying data and power), it’s a doorway/airlock between the head and the rest of the titan. The head is designed to come off to eject as well. I think a head that got removed by an enemy titan would leave a relatively clean break and definitely not have enough cables attached to swing it by.

Not a joke, back when I was mocking up wiring LEDs in my titan heads I had tried to mock up the head-on-a-cable flail that actually powered a blinking LED in the victim. Sadly there wasn’t room for one CR20 battery in they torso of a Warlord let alone two.

The Warlord claw is holding a warhound arm with an Ursus Claw which has successfully speared a Warlord Head.

And these are just a taster of the mighty battles that unfold in the book – conflicts you can refight with five narrative play missions, alongside rules and background for six Titan Legions and six Knight Houses that fought in the twin crusades. And yes, these rules include the much-requested Legio Audax and their signature weapon, the Ursus Claw.

Six Titan Legions, including

Traitor: Legio Infernus/Suturvora, Legio Audax

Loyalist: Legio Praesagius, Legio Oberon

Speaking of the Ordo Sinister, you’ll find the rules for the Warlord-Sinister Psi-Titan in Shadow and Iron. This mighty war engine is a terrifying presence on the battlefield, using its psychic abilities to move faster than you’d expect for a Warlord Titan while devastating enemies with bolts of shadow from its Sinistramanus Tenebrae.

So, the left hand of darkness, eh, Specialist Games? Solid name.

Yeah, that’s what it’s called. Neat weapon and cool backstory.

Honest: I’ve been looking to kitbash a psi-titan for many months now and I’m not using those bits. That head is awful and the gun doesn’t look...scary? The color is what I expected but I’ll pass on the official bits and continue my kitbash, thanks for the rules.

I'm so glad Friday is the 7th of the month, because my credit card balance is closed on the 6th, so I get an extra month to find some money to cover my expenses :biggrin.:

This said, I am dreading the FW price already

We have a gun, a head and front torso and also new shield generators for the Ordo Sinister warlord.

They’re going all out, Audax at last! Metallica and Ignatum would bring the legion count to six, though it would be unbalanced towards the loyalists... Depends if they’re counting the Ordo as one of the legions as well.

Six knight houses. Vornherr’s a given. Krast and Terryn and Taranis are on the new transfer sheets. Vyronii and Malinax have been prominent so far but don’t have rules. Maybe that’s it?

Not 100% on the Warlord-Sinister. The gun looks appropriate and the idea of the head is good, just not sold on it entirely. Pretty big, maybe too big. It’s a fitting style for its blankness but not sure it conveys menace in the right way. Dunno, will need to see the 360.

Nice idea of the painter to match the left hand of darkness with the red right hand of doom though.
