Hi all,

A quick question — has anyone converted their Space Hulk Terminators so that their bases slot into regular 40mm bases and if so, what was the best means of attachment? Magnets or pins? I ask as although I want to be able to use them with the rest of my Archangels 40K army, I still want to be able to play Space Hulk with them and that's difficult to do if they're permanently on 40mm bases.

2nd vote for magnets.

Depending on magnet size and how you plan to do up the bases after you may be able to get away with a single magnet on the stand between feet with the basing elements stopping/limiting spin.

Some of the SH Termies have stands that hang over the edge of a 40mm base, I had to clip one a fair bit to make one fit but the rest were minor. Don't know if that will matter to you or not though.

I think two magnets under the base and in a 40mm base would be my optimum solution.

That or clip the bases off and use some of the million other terms I have for space hulk. Maybe put them on 32mm bases?

I have found that 32mm bases are by far the best sized base for Space Hulk, especially when you're using other terminators for use in the expansion missions (most prominently the Deathwing Dreminators from Bringer of Sorrow)

I would recommentd clipping off the Space Hulk plastic base, and then applying magnets in the models feet, and a 40mm, 32mm base each.

I went the other way and built a 40mm space hulk board with plaster tiles to take 40mm terminator bases. Not recommended if you have any sanity.

I'd also like to see, I was contemplating doing this with the new necromunda tiles they released.
