Majkhel
Hey mate! Great job! You definitely did capture the clautrophobic reality of the dread's sarcophagus! Graymane
Greetings brothers! Bit of an update. This is a test fit/idea for the decorations. I have my custom shoulder pads fitted and have been adding a few bits to give it a more feral look. The bear pelt is supposed to look like its just been slung over the right shoulder and is swinging as as dreadnought moves. I know a lot of greenstuff will be needed to bulk it out and tie it in, but this should be enough to give you an idea, I hope. Also thinking some form of icon might be needed on the forward knee. What do you think so far? Graymane
Hello again brothers! Bit more of an update for you. I have finally finished adding bear and wolf pelts, glyphs and so on. Much green-stuffing, swearing, and several attempts later I'm quite pleased with how the bear pelt turned out. Take a look and let me know what you think. :) And everything still works! Main weapon is interchangeable and most importantly, the sarcophagus can still be opened... Now, time to start painting this big beastie! All feedback /advice welcome as per usual. Please let me know what you think! :) Cheers, GM Doghouse, Focslain, Majkhel and 2 others 5 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362772-draugrbj%C3%B6rn-ghost-bear-redemptor-dreadnought/#findComment-5502196 Share on other sites
Bjorn Firewalker
Good job on the green stuff pelts. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362772-draugrbj%C3%B6rn-ghost-bear-redemptor-dreadnought/#findComment-5502258 Share on other sites
Majkhel
Fantastic job on the pelts! On thing bugs me - currently right shoulder pad looks a bit 'detached' from the main silhouette of the dreadnought. Is appears to be sticking too much away from the body. This may be due to the positioning of the plasma arm - it being close to the body as the claw arm does not have this issue. Alternatively, could you expand the bear pelt a bit so that it covers at least part of this gap? Oshikai
This is soooo cool, ran out of Likes, but i really dig it, especially the Furwork. Dang, want something like that myself now, but my Greenstuff Skills are next to non existant. Should try to change that. Really looking forward to see him finished. PowerHungryMonkey
Greenstuff work looks great. I'll be having to do a bit of that myself soon for my SWs and hope that it turns out as good as yours. Graymane
Greeting brothers! So, I have finally finished the Draugrbjorn Redemptor! And here it is.... Presenting Jarn Bjorn 'The Iron Bear' - Redemptor dreadnought of the Draugrbjorn (Ghostbears) chapter. Little is known of the secretive Draugrbjorn. Renowned for striking suddenly and with unbridled ferocity, only to vanish as swiftly as they arrive, it is generally believed to be descended from Spacewolves gene stock, This towering war machine is believed to be the final resting place of the long missing Wolflord, Jotun Bearclaw who's lost great company is thought to be the ancestral progenitors of the Draugrbjorn Chapter. I am pleased with how the bear pelt came out. Also tried something a little new on the plasma cannon. Think the glow kind of works. And a little subtle decoration... The claw also seems to have come out pretty well, as have the 3d printed shoulders.... Everything is still functional, with both armour and customised sarcophagus able to be opened (sarcophagus lid is magnetised)... So there you go - I hope you like it! Please so let me know what you think! PowerHungryMonkey
Great work! That bear hide blends together seamlessly after painting, you wouldn't know it was greenstuff. Really cool paint scheme too Graymane 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362772-draugrbj%C3%B6rn-ghost-bear-redemptor-dreadnought/#findComment-5508859 Share on other sites
Majkhel
Fantastic work! You might have gone heavier on the shades and grime perhaps, but the overall clean paint-job adds well to the clear and clean winter feel Graymane 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362772-draugrbj%C3%B6rn-ghost-bear-redemptor-dreadnought/#findComment-5509350 Share on other sites
