I think il build the next 5 and the sentinel. Love the pink. It really makes them pop and takes them to a whole 'nother level. No offence intended there, just looks like one of those schemes that comes together with one or two last stages - I love/hate those. sarabando
i have too many armies and i keep flitting between projects and cant finish anything. XD Im desperately trying to get some of these projects crossed off the list before plastic mechanicum release and i get all robo fever. 5 heavy weapons nearly done. Agramar_The_Luna_Wolf
I converted this guy with an Anvilus-Pattern Heavy Flamer, than the usual Phaestos. I like more some of the weapons of the Tartaros' box than the Cataphractii's. sarabando, lokkorex, Pearson73 and 3 others 5 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/363129-30k-hobby-chat/page/135/#findComment-6033549 Share on other sites
Agramar_The_Luna_Wolf
I made from scratch this past weekend, a Tarantula sentry gun with heavy bolters. I think is a bit small compared with FW's and other alternative models. What do you think? Something to add or is fine? Noserenda
Looks good! There have been like 4 different tarantula designs over the years so i think its safe to say there are a few STCs for point defence guns :) LameBeard, Agramar_The_Luna_Wolf and General Zodd 2 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/363129-30k-hobby-chat/page/135/#findComment-6034369 Share on other sites

As a rivet counting guy, I think it looks great and something that could exist in universe! I don't think you should have any problem if you use the correct base size. The only changes I'd suggest: Remove the hanging ammo belts. They're redundant and do not make sense when those Voss heavy bolters already have ammo drums. Fill out with putty the top of the battery pack used as the central case mechanism to make it flat, and hide the original purpose of that bit. Torbenos
After a break and not feeling motivated to paint my possessed units I decided to just try and bash some cooler miniatures together. So here is the first man in a new veteran squad. Pearson73
Nice work on the sentry gun @Agramar_The_Luna_Wolf. Great pose on the veteran @Torbenos. The pistol is a nice touch to indicate his legion. Love a slung bolter too. Torbenos
She looks great Loquille Really like the cloak and the blue, where's the head from? WAR
Slowly painting my Sicaran. Hopefully I can speed up at the techniques when I move to the infantry. Still have a tone of plastic Jump infantry to build. Agramar_The_Luna_Wolf
An acceptable proxy of Loken? I was trying to make an overseer but suddenly I realised I made a Loken with helmet... a left-handed Loken I mean. All plastic bits. Maybe I keep it in this way, as a generic praetor/centurion. Opinions? Agramar_The_Luna_Wolf
I raised a little bit more. When I took the first pictures, the glue was still fresh and the weight of the arm pulled it down. Now I think is better. There is nothing wrong aiming for the enemy's knees... 37 minutes ago, TheArtilleryman said: Like it a lot! Cruor Vault
Spent this afternoon doing a test model for my Deathguard project. I'm really happy with how its come out so far. jaxom
Looking good. I’ve always been a fan of darker bases for the 14th. I think the contrast makes them pop a bit more. StratoKhan
Nice Deathguard dread! Really like the weathering etc. I opted for a dark churned earth for my deathguard, I felt like it would help add some contrast with the bone armour scheme. Is it just me or are those lascannons enormous btw? I’m so jealous I almost didn’t give it a like. I thought a desert base like zandri dust might be nice - usually I go for maximum contrasting bases, but here I think the warmth closer to your white could work - it will be a more subtle effect in a more limited palette.
