[subject ~1] ….My esteemed Praetor….

[subject ~2]…Yes Jaraern…

[subject ~1]…The Legate Marshall Lady Cynis-Vern of our allied Solar Auxilia contingent continues to persist in her requests for an audience with you…..I’m….running out of excuses….

[subject ~2] Does she know?….

[subject ~1] I do not believe so, there is great suspicion surrounding our current lack of direction…..

[subject ~2] Do you trust her?

[subject ~1] She’s hard to read…..but she has no love for the headhunters after her contingent was absorbed into theirs….it was a dishonour to her….one she has struggled to bear…..

Spoiler

Well…..I thought I might take this blog in a slightly different direction over the next few months….

Always loved solar auxilia, I quite like the idea of an allied contingent accompanying Endryd Haar on his perilous quests. Conflicted by their allegiance.

This is by no means an end of the boys in white blue, it’s an excuse to add some more background and character to the story!

Stay tuned for more!

What an absolute showcase of an army! I love the colors, especially the blues. This is a very inspirational project, thank you for sharing it. I esp love the destroyers and assault marines as I am a huge fan of them in game. Also have to compliment your Omega, that is a fantastic tank conversion.

Thanks dude, I like to have a record of what I’ve painted up. Thinking up a back story helps with the sense of immersion as well.

The omega was converted by my gaming buddy Nefarious Squirrel. Lots of work went into it to make it look more “Astartes”. From the side panelling to the tracks. Check out his instagram:

Still got a fair amount to do before I call the force finished! As well as the solar auxilia force……

Malcador Battle Tank - “The Regent”

File type: Pict Capture

File location: Marius Harwood - remembrancer, personal log.

File commentary:

Ah, the Malcador battle tank, a design that predates the great crusade, a pattern that is becoming a rare site on the field these days.

“The Regent” is a wonderful example, armed for anti-personnel, close fire support. Note the modified sponsons, a design more commonly seen in the “infernus” pattern.  The sponson position provides a more effective forward firing position, it can leave the tank even more vulnerable to flanking infantry…..

Spoiler

I’ve always loved the Malcador, I was intending to use this for my IH but they no longer work well in a legion list. Sponsons are from the old metal predator kit, with track guards from the old LR kit. I think it makes the tank look more imposing.

One trip to the Tank museum in Dorset is to blame for this…..

The first of many!
