Varyn
The paint work on Angron is really nice, lots of subtle details and weathering. The tattoos on his face look just right and the metallic effect on his armour is spot on. Whatever decision you make we are with you, but you already know….there is only one course of action……..we must end him. Only then will we finally rest and only then will honour be restored to the XIIth…..” Spoiler Well, I thought it was about time to start bringing the XIIth legion into 2.0. Think I might have broken the “gentleman’s agreement” regarding dreadnought numbers! Cadmus Tyro
Spoiler Spoiler File Location: extracted text, Company chaplain Ramarnus Vanus, Personal log. “If history has taught us anything, it is that humanity is destined to repeat itself. At times dragging itself out of the mire of depravity for the briefest of moments, only a to be pulled back to the nature within. From the Gladiatorial games of the ancient Romanii empire to the Blood pits of the pan pacific empire, men have fought and died for the entertainment of the corrupt nobility of its time. But we have overcome the dictator and having overthrown the weak and the corrupt, we fight for honour, in pursuit of martial prowess. My father has perfected this art and the path of the rampager is one that many a warrior aspires to tread. But the thirst for victory can never be quenched, and so we are ever driven on until our ambitions are ended by the cold steel of defeat….” Spoiler Well, I’ve been saving these FW MKii for something special and with the new rules for rampagers, it had to be done! I couldn’t get my hands on enough Falax blades but I think the sabres work well and lend themselves to a slightly different “Terran veteran” vibe that seems to fit with my overall concept for Endryd Haars loyalist company. hope you like em! Cadmus Tyro
File type: Pict capture File location: Remembrancer Illias Mercer, personal pict capture device. Subject: Company chaplain Ramarnus Vanus Spoiler Spoiler Small update for the world eaters, thought it would be helpful to run a chaplain with the Rampagers. Strangely the tartaros centurion equipped with a thunder hammer is the same cost as a standard centurion with a thunder hammer. The only disadvantage I can see is gaining bulky, but this is outweighed by an additional wound. Took a while to fill all the runes in and swap the combi melta out! Hope you like him! StratoKhan
Nice work on that Chaplain, looks really good! Out of curiosity, what GS mix did you use to fill in the runes on the armour? I’ve been filling in the toe ridges on the MkVI tac squad boots, and have had varying results, and was wondering if maybe my green stuff proportions were off. Basically, I make GS with extra yellow component, as it’s softer - but even then, sometimes the GS pops out of the gap that I’m trying to fill. Not sure if you have any advice on that. Thanks StratoKhan, it’s actually a mixture of 60% standard yellow milliput and 40% greenstuff. You get the best of both products, GS holds it together and makes it easier to work with, milliput sticks better, is water soluble (to some degree) in its malleable state and when dry it can be filed down easily (unlike GS, which has a more rubbery texture when dry). hope that helps! But we have been used time and again to further the ends of a man desperate to fulfil an agenda. What is more, our gene father has fallen to the depravity of rebellion, and seeks to undo all that we have achieved in the name of humanity. But we have a choice. It would seem tyrants stand on either side, but I know where I stand, I will stand on the side of the desperate and the broken….I will stand in the light….I will stand with you brothers, for the protection of the race from which we have become, so far removed…. For the emperor!” Extract of speech to elements of the 19th company, Company chaplain Ramarnus Vanus.
