I am very happy to present here the slow progress I am making with my battle sisters.

I already have a fairly large army of the old metal ones (with sand colored armor and blue fabrics), but the new ones are much better. So I decided to change the scheme for everything new and to come ...

To sum things up, I wanted an scheme that had orange on the fabric and light colored armor, be it sand, beige, or gray. Not white because it is too difficult.

Searching, I found this image

Image for scheme reference

that I loved and that totally decided me by the scheme, adding black as a contrast element.

For the weapon I tried black and gray but it didn't look good because it already had that color in the central part of the miniature. Since the most striking color was orange, I finally used its complement, green, with a bluish hue.

So, I grabbed a pair of old metal sisters and applied the schematic to them on a trial basis.

Test sheme

Right now, what i have of new sisters is:

- Special Edition Box:

     Canoness

     Sister Squad

     Seraphims

     Repentia

     Arcos

     PE
- Standard Sister Squad
- Retibutors Squad

- Amalia Novena

And so it all begins...

The photo is darker than it actually is and I currently use space wolf gray (more bluish) than that.

The name of the Order is in the title of the post, but I modified it from an apocryphal compilation of rules that I found online.

Order of the Divine Light

I liked the background so much that it was the basis for looking for the color scheme, Orange and NOT white

In another order of things, I love conversions and I rarely listen to the assembly instructions ...

I intend to use the Repentia Superior as a Canoness because the SE box Canoness is very ugly.

So I started trying different combinations (with bluetack) and so we got to the Book Lady, because having 3 books to throw at the enemy is better than 1 (the metal one is from the old canoness). :teehee: :teehee:

I recognize the character as the crusader "Darkness" (real name: Dustiness Ford Lalatina), from the light novel-turned-anime Konosuba. This is obviously crossover fanart.

Warning: Darkness is a masochist; in Warhammer 40,000, she'll likely succumb to Slaanesh's influence.

I am just SO happy that there is going to be a Sisters army based on Darkness fanart. Thank you sir for doing this!! I personally love Konosuba (for the comedy AND lewdness of course, not just the former) and having anime meet 40k is just so awesome! Edited by EmperorGTank

If anyone does a Konosuba-inspired Adepta Sororitas army, Darkness will be more appropriate as a Sister Repentia. Aqua will obviously be a Living Saint. A straight Kazuma will be an allied Inquisitor; a genderbent Kazuma may be the long-suffering Canoness who has to keep these lazy sloths, degenerates, and lunatics focused on serving the Emperor's will.

Who do you think Megumin will be? A sanctioned psyker? Or an insane Adepta Sororitas Retributor who ignores the Holy Trinity (heavy bolter, heavy flamer, multi-melta) in favor of a Davy Crockett?

Oh my bad haha :) I forgot that you put the name in the title.

Repentia is probably a pretty fun unit to do conversations with.

What do you think about fantasy blood elves as repentia?

And maybe give them some whips and masks.

Just an idea I've been thinking about ^^

Maybe conversing Battle Sisters can also save a few bucks,

If you have an idea what to convert them with ;)

Thank you all for your comments! I like a lot that series too.

I really don't want to have anyone with a weapon skill level as low as Darkness in my army, for the sake of their comrades ... But I love the color scheme :teehee:

Here I bring you the first of the sisters I painted following the new scheme.

First SoB of Divine Light Order

The bases are made with the roller that everyone will already know...

In advance of what is to come, Amalia Novena has become the bearer of a Simulacum Imperialis.

Thanks for the contributions.

About weathering I really like clean miniatures and the times I have tried to dirty them i have not been satisfied with the result

The work of these days... two flamers and a storm bolter

I really like your scheme. The orange and grey go great together as well as the green on the guns, that is a bold choice. The base work is perfect, will work on any table especially in kill team. Good job. Now I need to get back on my sisters...soon.

Thanks! The light grey that i use is from vallejo (well, i only use Vallejo Paints. My only GW "paints" are Agrax and Nuln shades, apart from wolf grey, blood angels red and abbadon black contrast, which are the base of my SoB).

About the base, i was tired of always making it with sand and gravel. When i see the rollers i bought it without hesitation. It's more expensive due to the cost of green stuff, but meh.

Cheer up with the sororitas! it is always motivating to see the work of others!

Today's work, WiP Amalia Novena as a Simulacrum Imperialis...

Well, only her body. The head and arms from multi-component squad.

About the "shrine" on the top of the pole... I cut the cherub and I'm going to put on it one of the canoness chest pendant decorations to keep him flying.

You're a skilled painter. What will you use to replace the cherub? The symbol of the Axis Cult? A bust of Aqua? A standard bearing the useless living saint's image? Or will you try to minimize the Konosuba references, beyond the Order's colors?

Thanks for the comment!

Ah yes, Canoness Mildred of the Order of the Three Tomes, also known as "Literary Lass" (behind her back). :biggrin.:

Good work so far, anyway! Always nice to see more Sisters. Very nice colour scheme too, I'm especially fond of the green weapon casing.

Also, whilst I have yet to watch Konosuba, the thought of "Emperor's Blessing Upon This Beautiful Galaxy" is a very funny thought. Masochistic Sister Repentia Darkness, useless Living Saint Aqua, explosive half-pint Primaris Psyker Megumin, and long-suffering only (just about) sane man Inquisitor Kazuma.

At first the references to Konosuba were not going to go beyond the color scheme.

But now that you are saying it, I could at least put the names on the back of the base ...

Work these days, finished the Amalia Novena and a couple of fusion guns. The chopped cut fleur-de-lis has been replaced by an inquisitorial symbol, taken from an arm pendant

Simulacrum Imperialis

Fusion Cannons

I usually work on a couple of miniatures at a time, to let one dry while applying on the other.

Today, in addition to the usual work:

Superior and marksman

First Squad Superior. The left hand is from old metal canoness. The other sister will be the sniper specialist (hence the scope) in my Kill team

I would like to ask you a question about the color of the "cloak" of the following WiP:

Colour doubt

Repentia Superior. I changed the whip from left to right. The left arm is from Escalation (Blackstone Fortress) cultist leader, the head from AoS. The chain with the fleur de lis is one of the Repentia

the question is what color can I paint the cloak. The canoness (WiP shown a few post before) would go with the white armor, so I don't want to stand out more than the canoness herself...  I lean towards the black, but that color is already on the chest and forearms...
