I had most of the day off yesterday as I had to take an oral exam for work, and used the remaining part of the day to customize a box to transport my kill team for the 12 MoH Campaign in style

Finished a bladeguard sergeant, and therefore my bladeguard squad.

It was really refreshing painting something other than marines. The last chancers team is great for that as they don't really have to be cohesive so each member can have a different style, even their weapons don't have to be standardized. I'm really looking forward to completing the full set over the course of the 12MoH Campaign

I was planning to vow him for april in the 12MoH and just wanted to get his base done... But an afternoon later and here he is, a kitbashed phobos lieutenant

Also earlier this week I finished a retro space marine scout sergeant (minus base and transfers)

I haven't painted much lately but I'll be on vacation next week so expect a little more progress then.

I did find some time to finish customizing what started as an advertising tape measure keychain a coworker had laying around in his office.

What's cool is that it reads both in inches and centimeters (which is really not the norm in France) and is therefore perfect to have around for playing!

After completing my 5th company captain for the 12 MoH I thought it would be fun to show how the same base mini (ETB intercessor sergeant) could be tweaked into very different models in the end

Base mini, second in command in the 1st intercessor squad of my 2nd company

Old school bolt pistol added, chain sword from a marine that survived my parent's house fire and head from my very first tactical sergeant (who partly survived the fire, the body and weapons had melted but the head was usable), now a veteran assault intercessor in my 2nd company

This conversion was a bit more involved, intended as a hommage to the veteran sergeant from the original metal command squad that I had as a kid. This guy is the company hero sergeant of my 2nd company.

This one only got a rescue banner and a power fist and is the ancient for my 5th company

And last but not least, my 5th company captain who got sculpted fur to better integrate the cape from the old plastic space marine commander

And here they are togetherlarge.IMG_20260514_1047176082.jpg.122dd1374a67744e58e018838a248381.jpg

That's a great command squad! I like the freehands, the colour scheme and the throwbacks, particularly to the older captains (with the way your captain hold his PROPER bolter). I can't put my finger on it now, but I feel there were at least 2-3 more-or-less limited captains over the years who used this relaxed pose, including the AoBR Captain and the "you can copy my homework but don't make it obvious) Captain with combi-grav.

Great use of the ETB Intercessor bodies, too. You've made them fee unique.

Such a joy to see the old last chancer minis being worked on. Great stuff.

My father had found them for me on a flea market when I was a kid complete with their box. I never got around to painting them at the time, and they were lost with most of my minis in 2013. I found them two years ago on e bay at a somewhat reasonable price and bought them as a Christmas present for myself though I feel they might be recasts as some of their faces, when viewed from the front, seem a tiny bit misaligned. Overall they're still great minis and it's a joy to work on them between marines as they can all be done as very different individuals
