For a supplementary July vow, I'll add a Canoness and 5 Retributors with 2 Armorium Cherubs, They've been partially painted for a while and I'd like to get them finished off.

The second (and final) part of me Vow for this month is finished, was a bit touch and go for a while due to the heat waves, contrast get really weird when it is hot.

More Trees are done, beginning to get into a pattern that seems to work for these guys, it not particularly neat or tidy, but if I were to try that I could easily spend a month per Kurnoth conversion and never get done with the army.

Well that LOTD marine is awesome!

The second part of my vow is complete. Just need to matt coat them, but will do that once i have more in a batch.

July Summary

As we pass the 1/2 way mark on 2021, we are still seeing strong participation in the Challenge with 27 Frater taking on the challenge for July. Of the 27 Frater, 24 managed to complete their pledges, with just 3 Frater unable to finish their vows. Between the 27 of us we pledged to complete 254 models, and managed to complete 189 of those models.

Compared to previous years, I have streamlined awarding the Badges a little, and have begun adding Badges in the first post of each Month as they are earned. Please feel free to add them to your Signatures as you see them appear each month.

- the 3rd time you earn a Badge it upgrades from Black to Bronze, available from March

- the 6th time you earn a Badge it upgrades from Bronze to Silver, available from June

- the 9th time you earn a Badge it upgrades from Silver to Gold, available from September

- if you manage to earn a Badge for all 12 Months of the Challenge, it will upgrade to Platinum

Amazingly the rain stopped and I got to give this guy a coat of varnish - still the weathering and base to do, but this is far as July will allow. My fate is in your hands, Grotsmasha. Do I deserve a badge?

Got back from vacation today and tried to speedpaint my vow for July. There will be touch ups, ideally tomorrow, but I'd call them done for the challenge. Two Necron cryptothralls:

I painted these guys to the barest 3-color-minimum for LVO2019. I'm now going to knock them out since I need choppa boys, and this is my last major addition for my red Orks (going Goffs from now on).

It's been a bit of a quiet month since I finished the exorcist. I keep managing to get sick/migraines on my days off so not much painting is happening

 

For August I'll pledge 5 necron warriors, a plasmacyte and a sister of battle Imagifier by month's end.

Saint Celestine, looking closer appears to be missing bits, need to evaluate if I can repair

 1 Imagifier, built, unpainted, in this month's pledge

Seraphim Squad, built, backpacks painted, bases done, models all 70% done.

1 Exorcist: done!!!

Repentia squad: considering I have 4, and a superior, from the army box I only need to do 5, unbuilt still though

Unstarted: 1 Retributor squad, 1 Battle Sister squad,, 1 Rhino, 1 Immolator, 2 Penitent Engines

Misc: painted a metal sister superior and rebased her squad on 32mm bases.
