I lost one of the twin linked bolters I converted for a Mars pattern rhino, however the pintle sprue has all the extra rhino bits, so I think I'll just take the Rhino parts to make a twin-linked bolter from the one included in a Kratos. They seem to fit, so it should work.

I rather like the utility of that sprue, lots of extra bits and you can probably even kit out some of the resin kits with some extra pintle weapons.

I will keep using my Phobos as 'counts-as' Proteus Carriers for the purposes of dedicated transports fory units .since they are essentially identical rules and sizewise and were the only option in 1.0, and would let anyone else do the same.

Otherwise it gets into nonsensical territory of siliy things like "a unit may take a diemos rhino as a DT" and having a mars rhino or mars predator as legacy pdf, or my tigrus pattern bolter is different from your umbra pattern bolter.  As long as you can wysiwyg it is fine gameplay wise.

They should just add the following to the pdf:

Designer's Note: Any unit that has the option to take a Land Raider Proteus Carrier as a dedicated transport may instead select a Land Raider Phobos as its dedicated transport choice.

Quite true, it's more a question on when do they pull the trigger and make it happen.

If the kits are unavailable now, means they should be moving to a plastic kit in the near future instead of a more indeterminate time.

The Arquitor and Sabre strike tank really need to come in plastic. The price on those is so crazy I can't imagine too many people actually bought one.

Sabres would make me so happy.

Especially now I can transport two on my Thunderhawk Transporter (then again I can also carry a Spartan or two Sicaran).

Really want to see Outriders (because they're eye watering in cost for a hybrid kit based off Scout Bikes).

Had my first game today!

2000. Quarters had to be conquered. Gained tons of knowledge. Reactions have had an impact and are a great new element. Dreadnoughts are badass, the Iron Warriors Rite of War Tyrant of Lyssatra sounds great but has too many drawbacks for my taste, Iron Hands and Iron Warriors take a bit of each other's bonuses away, krak grenades are a feasible way to deal with dreadnoughts and vehicles, Night combat is brutal (footsloggers need a vox), everything going faster let you use the whole table a lot better, units with 2 wounds are really strong, the re-balancing of all the weapons is a lot of fun and I feel like I have way too little firepower. Yep, that's about it.

So how are you adjusting your army for the next game?

Very interesting.

Can you do a brief summary of the lists used? Did any units or weapons stick out as strong/weak etc?

I just finished Tallarn and the new Predator makes my dream of an IW armored company a reality.

It’s a huge inspiration! I played against an armoured company once and I’ve been tempted ever since… the thought of many tanks in plastic is immensely exciting!
