Wanting nothing more than to close to the enemy and rend them asunder, Kuros' path to leadership was one of pure bloody survival. Thrown into the thick of the Indomitus Crusade's heavy fighting, Kuros out-fought and out-lived the terrors of both the real world and the Warp. He became an expert in boarding actions and the point of the sword for many of the Chapter's largest assaults. His superiors recognized the young Astates' almost-instinctual responses to the flow of battle and began to teach the headstrong warrior that the deadliest weapon is his own mind. Kuros now fills the roll of the 8th Company Captain, training the Riven's close assault specialists in his specialty.
