I think I have done well this month, he needs a few transfers and varnish but I will hold off till I have more than 1 model to varnish.

For my next vow, I think I'll just vow these vehicle weapon pieces, since I've been putting them off for a while and haven't quite settled on my next Royal Awakening vow yet.

I, Daimyo-Phaeron Lenoch, embark on the 12 Months of Hobby challenge, and for the month of July pledge to complete two hunter-killer missiles, a storm bolter, one twin-linked plasma gunner, and a communications dish by month's end.

I forget if we're actually allowed to vow in advance, but I can chill my heels on these guys for a couple days if I need to . Just need some external pressure to get these guys done, because some of them have been WIP for years at this rate....

Oh, thank the Throne, we're back online!

 

I haven't been idle in the time away from these hallowed halls, brothers.

Indeed, I've painted three whole models this month - two of my Tempestus Scions, and one Big Chonky Space Marine Captain for my Stonebound.

I thought the former would be more quick-and-easy models to paint, like my Sisters of Battle, only to find Tempestus Scions have a LOT going on, not helped by my decision to freehand some N7-style white and red stripes on their arms, nor to attempt glowing eyes (they look a lot more restrained in reality, although I think I've still gone too bright on them).

 

For once it was the big power armour guy who was a break from painting dificult models, although after the fact I realise I've not joined his cape together as properly as I first thought.

 

Er... I haven't figured out how to put pictures here properly since the update, please bear with me while I have a play with the new software.

I have my Tzaangor and Ven dread done for June, the ad mech Sulphurhounds are lagging though as I find it hard to enjoy painting (especially fiddly things) when it's as humid as it has been recently, I'm going to be pushing to get them done by the weekend though.

Thanks, and yeah he's really decked out with The Trinkets of the Emperor. Since I don't know much about the 30k Legions, I just painted as close to the box art as I could even though it's all (boring) plain steel
