I've been subscribing to the Warhammer Imperium magazine and teaching my 9-yo grandson to play. He tried painting to humor me, and now says he doesn't like it. He is still enjoying building and playing though so I will suffer through painting the minis for him. ThePenitentOne Posted July 16, 2022 Share Posted July 16, 2022 Hopefully, this will be my first of two pledges this month: I, ThePenitentOne pledge to complete this unit of five Khymerae Pups (classic metal Warp Beasts). This is a bit of a special pledge. The photo was actually taken in June- I had intended to make this unit my pledge for June; I took the photo and began working on them and then we had the transition time and I couldn't post the pledge and sort of lost my momentum and really struggled to get it back. To slow me down a bit further, I came down with Covid symptoms on Tuesday and today is the first day I've been well enough to think about painting. I never did pledge them in June and I should have, because they'd be my Stubborn or Grudge Match badge (I forget what it's called). Anyway, with the work I've already done, this unit is a slam dunk, and I might even finish it tomorrow. Focslain Posted July 20, 2022 Share Posted July 20, 2022 (edited) So finally started on my prodding along project of painting the marines of the Imperium subscription set. Started on 5 of the 13 assault intercessors, might add another one to have an even 15. I already did one as a test piece. Right now the amount I have is 13 Assault Intercessors, LT, Capt, Librarian in Phobos armour and 3 Aggressors. Looking at the list these are the only marines I'll have for a while as they are sending out the Admech (marked for my own) and the sisters sections next and that seems to be the run for the rest of the year for the US. The chapter I'm doing them as is the Fire Lords, which is a nice foil to my friends Cyro-crons that his painting the necrons of this set in.
