 September

I, Reclusiarch Jolemai , embark on the 12 Months of Hobby Challenge, and for the month of September pledge to complete 1 x Scorpius Whirlwind, Company Champion by month's end.

Spoiler

To do:

~ Fix tank and add on any extras

~ Paint tank to completion, including optional hatches for Rhino/Razorback

~ Detail on Champion (sword, text, etc)

As if hearing me say how little I liked painting them it seems they decided to be a pain to assemble this time around too...

Uploading or converting to a JPEG seems to taken some of the colour out of them but I am calling them done.

So following along with the Imperium Train we are arriving at badly posed Captain station:

Well, honestly, I am not sure if I like or dislike this guys pose. Ended up sticking with it as I likely wont get another of these models again so having one as intended seemed like the best plan.  Just noticed his laurel wreath has fallen off somewhere.  Think the model looks better without but thinking I may stick it on regardless.

Ok, finally, finally I've managed to claw my way through the last few months and at least award badges and pick a Favourite,

Two almost-favourites in two months. Makes me question your judgement somewhat, but also, thanks - that's really encouraging :)

Two weeks of dabbing in the free time I could spare later and my Sergeant is finally ready

I hope the rest of the squad will go faster if I'm to manage them inside the month. But progress is progress!

Thanks for Favourites, Grot!

September vow finished- 5 Necron Immortals (previously show) and 2 Knight Armigers.

I may vow again, but we'll have to see what the month brings...

I found it weird, but so 40k that the halo is bolted into his head....

Oh so very 40K.  Mind you the model is very 40k in general.  Block headed partially bald man waving a sword in the air covered in various gubbins and cloaks whilst standing with one foot on a tactical rock with an overly huge ornament bolted onto his head/back pack.  It is probably the main reason I stuck with his as sculpted.  Only thing he needs is more skulls and to perhaps be screaming rather then just staring at his oddly raided blade...

I blame Grot, because now I can't not have something going on, hobby-wise. I, Lord_Ikka, vow to paint for the month of September 4 mining guild rebels (GSC neophytes). Pictured with an already completed one so I remember the scheme...

And I am back.

Been busy this summer and had hardly any time for painting. However, I am right now pretty hyped about Kill Team, and while waiting on my box, decided to convert an Inquisition Kill Team. I do not have all the parts for half of the models, but finished assembling 4 of them and thought I will pledge painting these up.

Not sure I will manage to paint more this month, because I suffer from "new shiny" syndrome and will most probably spend all the time assembling the new box as soon as it arrives.

So my pledge for September will be 2 hounds, a flamer Interrogator and a grenadier (shooting bomb bolts from his crossbow).

Yes, I am aware this is not 40k, but to prove I at least finished painting something in the past months, I just finished painting these Zombie Lego figures (Scibor).

They were pretty fun to, but have been sitting here for the past 3 months. But nice for a change.
