I dont get the timing on garo, everyone gearing up for the end and this drops taking us what 2 books ago?

There has almost certainly been a delay somewhere; either at the author, editorial or printing stage.  If only GW/BL would have the balls to engage with their audience/market about what happened it would gain a ton of respect from the same.

Modern companies never admit to making mistakes unless its to get some SJW brownie points or its some staged PR thing. Maybe BL has competition and they dont want other companies knowing about their internal operations. I hear they gave ADB brain chips linked to AI to speed up his writing process.

WarCom announced a ton of audiobooks. Mostly sequels to ongoing series, but also some neat confirmations.

The Emperor's Gift was expected, and it's good to see them continuing the old Imperial Guard novels. Didn't see Crusaders of Dorn coming, but it makes sense. Wish they'd at least announced another SMB audiobook after Rynn's World and Battle of the Fang. That entire series should get recorded, in my opinion. It was a flagship series after all.

Now, wanna bet that they'll be throwing these out in large batches rather than spreading them out over the coming months?

There’s also this embargoed book supposedly from Max Brooks, the author of World War Z: https://livre.fnac.com/a17660529/Warhammer-40-000-Embargo-4-Max-Brooks#omnsearchpos=12

Maybe we’re getting something cool from Max, but if I were a betting man I’d say Fnac confused him with BL’s Mike Brooks and the embargo is for the regular edition of Warboss (which I think people are gonna love).

I do think we are seeing the first listing for Siege of Terra 9 here.

It does make sense for it to come our around May, and the cover has been revealed a month ago.

I have suspected for some time that there plan is to release all volumes of Abnett's closing trilogy next year.

P.S.  Yes I know a trilogy is not officially confirmed yet but I think its 99% likely since we know its not 2 books and 4 seems almost impossible.

While I love the idea of BL finishing the Siege this year, I’m pretty sure the listing in question is for BL’s French Horus Heresy collections. BL has released 8 volumes so far, and the Fnac listing has multiple authors involved.

Where's this info coming from that we know it's not 2 books? Afaik that's only a speculation based on the word used "volume" as that's often used to note more than 2 in the series.

Agreed. We KNOW it will be two volumes but the speculation is around the use of the words “multi volume”

Abnett himself says in his interview said it will be "several volumes" , which indicates more than 2.

On top of that, the cover for book 2 is Sanguinius vs Horus which would be downright odd for the final volume.

There is no chance IMO that its only 2 books.

It just spirals into another 8 book series...

The Horus Heresy: The Siege of Terra: The End And The Death: The Pre-Sequel: Part I: Annotated Edition (Hardback).

I also think the timing is something to consider as well.

For the Siege, BL has been spacing them out at least over a period of a few months, if not 6-8 or longer. But now they're putting out Garro's, End and The Death Volume 1 and (supposedly) finishing it with Volume 2 in the time-span of 4 months? Seems a bit quick given their recent timetables and how they like to stretch things out.

That being said, it could be plausible. They might want to finish everything and have it out of the way before the (rumored) 10th edition launches, with supposedly The Lion coming back, etc. So that way nothing steals the spotlight from that
