Raging Heroes - Vanvyssah

The link for these can be found here. She is a suitable proxy for a Chaos Daemon Herald of Slaanesh.

She was part of the TGG2 Kickstarter so I can't comment on any normal delivery time or packaging (feel free to let me know in the replies and I'll update this bit with delivery info, etc). However, this is how she turned up (and with a 25 mm round bases):

Bag:

Whilst this could potentially result in things becoming loose, there was no damage here.

On to the models, there's some flash as expected with resin. Detail is crisp and you can see evidence of the circular mould technique they use:

Next up are a few individual shots showing points of interest.

Zoom:

Head/neck join:

You can make out the square shaped peg on the head and the corresponding spot where it goes on the neck.

Arm attachment:

There's a "pin" on the arm which goes into the socket shown here. Allows for some rotation (maybe).

Hemline:

At first I thought this was a mouldline, but it's on the 3D render. It's a hemline for the cloak. The next picture, sadly, is a mouldline but it should be easy to fix:

Moudline:

It runs perpendicular to the hemline and across the shoulders of the model.

Flash:

Like any normal FW/resin model, just take your time and start away from the detail, then clip bits off slowly towards this. As you can see it's very thin so be careful when filing (if at all)

Hole:

Where the resin goes thin, a small hole has formed. There's also another translucent bit further up the cape. Personally, I'm going to leave it as a hole but it can probably be fixed with green stuff and likely isolated to single models..

Here she is trimmed and based (and for this guide, blu-tacced):

She's actually fine on the 28mm base but as I prefer my characters on something larger, I sourced a 32mm base...

32mm base:

Which I'm actually quite happy with.

Finally, we have a comparison picture of Raging Heroes' offering placed alongside some of GW's and RH's models (all 28mm heroic scale):

From left to right: 2nd Edition Tactical -> Lady Melith -> Vanvyssah -> Mantis Warriror trooper -> Sanguinary Guard:

Fits in fine imo.
