Hello everyone! I wanted to add some female models to my CSM warband so the first thing that I thought of was female cultists, however, I haven't been able to find many models that appealed to me. I did get the 'Renegade sister with daemon gun' from WE because I thought it looked cool but that is just one model! Also, I'm not a big fan of the Slaanesh motif so I don't want all of my girls to have that design. I also thought of the Eschers from Necromunda and the Jailbirds from Raging Heroes (I kinda like the JL better) but they didn't seem to fit with my Iron Warriors and Death Guard warbands. For the IWs, I'm thinking a more renegade guard style works best and I love the range of models of Raging Heroes Iron Empire (from their Toughest Girls of the Galaxy). The problem still is that they wouldn't mix with a cultist unit and I don't think I want to spend that much money right now to get a third army (Renegade Guard) so my intention was to still run them as cultists if I wanted to have a battleforged army but in a separate unit from the rest. However I feel this would not work so well with my Death Guard so I still want to look for other models that fit the cultist vibe better. Still, I'd like to see your opinion. Eschers/Jailbirds as cultists? Iron Empire as Renegade Guard? Other models that could work? Thank you beforehand!

I have been eying the amazing models of Raging Heroes for a while now, but never actually took the plunge. I now absolutely fell in love with these guys: https://www.ragingheroes.com/collections/warriors-of-the-secret-jungle-wsj-f/products/emerge-from-the-shadows-packs-wsj-f?variant=42999496048852 It is the Salamander Lizard Women. I thought they would make an amazing Slaaneshy Demonette Kill Team- I just need to paint them in pink/ purple colours. I thought I could get a squad of them and add the Tzaangor Upgrade Kit / leftover chainweapons from the Khorne cultists to make them more in line with 40k. They appear to be on the right size Bases (25mm) so I assume they might be similar in size as the Demonettes. Question- has anyone bought from the company before and know how the size of their models translates to GW models? Would it be possible to use GW parts on them? Or would that look awkward? I thought of just chopping off the hands and adding the chainswords to them. Would be glad about any thoughts about this. The reason I would like to go with the lizard women warriors is- I think the Demonettes of this company are just too overloaded with detail and the GW models.... they are plain ugly. And these lizard beauties just have the right amount of detail and they just ooze the "treacherous snake" vibe.

Raging Heroes - Rythali-in The link for this can be found here. She is a suitable proxy for a Death Cult Assassin, Inquisitorial Henchmen, or a 28mm scale House Escher gang member. She was part of the TGG2 Kickstarter so I can't comment on any normal delivery time or packaging (feel free to let me know in the replies and I'll update this bit with delivery info, etc). However, this is how she turned up (and with a 25 mm round slottabase): Bag: On to the model, there's some flash as expected with resin. Initially, the detail appears crisp and you can see evidence of the circular mould technique they use: Front: Back: Next up are a few individual shots showing points of interest. Zoom: Here she is trimmed and based: Finally, we have a comparison picture of Raging Heroes' offering placed alongside some of GW's.

Raging Heroes - Lady Melith The link for these can be found here. She is a suitable proxy for a Chaos Daemon Herald of Slaanesh (or possibly, The Masque). She was part of the TGG2 Kickstarter so I can't comment on any normal delivery time or packaging (feel free to let me know in the replies and I'll update this bit with delivery info, etc). However, this is how she turned up (and with a 25 mm round bases): Bag: On to the models, there's some flash as expected with resin. Raging Heroes - Mantis Warriors, Command The link for these can be found here. These were part of the TGG2 Kickstarter so I can't comment on any normal delivery time or packaging (feel free to let me know in the replies and I'll update this bit with delivery info, etc). However, this is how they turned up (and with some 25 mm round bases): Bag: On to the models, there's some flash as expected with resin. Detail is crisp and you can see evidence of the circular mould technique they use:: Front: Back: All the models are very light and delicate, but not flimsy. The resin itself is firm and responds well to cleanup, just be aware of how delicate it is. Zoom: The pieces are all ball & socket joints meaning you can pose them how you wish - tbh, there's no real guide on how to do so apart from the stock pictures. Here's the full squad all built: Finally, we have a comparison picture of Raging Heroes' offering placed alongside some of GW's.

Introduction For those who aren't aware, my main army is Blood Angels in 40k and I have a blog over there. This is pretty much where I spend my hobby time but as my collection has grown and ... Wait, wait, wait. What is Mr Blood Angels himself doing with Daemons? 0.o Back in 7th edition there was a gimmick that Blood Angels could do involving Malefic Daemonology. For any non-Chaos psyker that rolled any double, they would miscast and more often than not, lose wounds. The gimmick was with the Librarian Dreadnought as this didn't have any wounds to lose... Yes, I know, a little cheeky but it wasn't ground breaking and having a Librarian Dreadnought run around (with a Techmarine nearby just in case) seemed fun. (A reminder about Malefic Daemonology can be found on his external source) Around this time the Raging Heroes TGG2 Kickstarter was going on and a mate knew I collected Dark Elves, so asked if I wanted to go halves on it. As I was searching, I saw the Mantis Warriors and Avatar of Shaah models which I knew would make good Daemonette and Keeper of Secret proxies. Throw in the freebie Lady Melith character which would make a good proxy for a Herald an I was all set. Of course the models never arrived until he end of 8th edition As I quite like the models/casts I decided to keep them. I will be painting the skin tones as I want to do my Dark Elves, and I want to try out a new (for me) style of basing. As it happens, the Avatar of Shaah is quite large so it will be more like Zarakynel should it ever see a game. It should be noted that as this blog will contain Raging Heroes models, some are classed as NSFW. These models will be in spoiler tags and noted as such. I should point out that this blog will be on a slow burn; I'm not the fastest painter at the best of times and the stuff to be added here is done on an as-and-when basis as my primary focus remains my never ending pile of BA shame. However, I will be posting battle reports here when they eventually happen. Anyway, without further ado, please enjoy the blog and I look forward to your comments
