General Zodd
After a bit of a hiatus, I’ve got back to my Fists with a Recon unit; I wasn’t sure what to do about Imperial Fist recons, until I settled on using the yellow as a basis for a camo scheme. I know myself well enough that I’m likely to constantly forget their shroud bombs, so I added a Primaris smoke bomb to the sergeant to remind me! I’m not a fan of the FW models, so I found some 3D printed arms on Etsy designed for the MkVI bodies. Brother Kraskor
Very nice! Were the weapons 3d printed too? The camo is striking enough to fit their battlefield role without actually being real-life "useful" camo and thus impugning their honour. Clever idea with the Sergeant too. The arms I bought had the weapons attached, either just to the right arm or more often as a combined pair. Brother Kraskor
Oh that's ideal, I was going to say the weapons are spot on too for recon marines. The Pounder
Those recon marines are top notch! The camo is really well done, keeps them tied in with the rest but have their own niche. General Zodd
Hello again! As with my Sons of Horus thread, I thought I’d take a look back over 2023 and see how much I’ve got done, and what is hopefully in the pipeline for next year! So, in 2023 I managed to finish; - 10 Tactical Marines - Rapier Quad Launcher - 10-strong Lascannon HSS - Castellan - Apothecary - 10-strong Assault Cannon HSS - 2 Scorpius Launchers - Rogal Dorn - 10 Templar Brethren - 2 Land Raider Proteus Carriers - 10 Recon Marines - Sigismund - 20 Inductii That seems like I should have been getting out more in 2023… Now I’ve got my army in good shape, 2024 won’t be as full on! Though I do want to make a Delegatus, a couple more Contemptors and at least one Rhino, maybe an assault squad too. We’ll see how we get on!
