FWIW, Valrak the Verbose has just stated with a considerable degree of conviction that there will NOT be any Primaris Jump assault in the 10th Edition launch box.

Possibly slightly disappointing if it turns out to be true but that doesn't mean no Primaris Jump Assault units at all, just that they won't be in the starter box.

Maybe sooner?

Second sprue is Intervenators, primaris jump troops, painted in Blood Angel colors. They have eviscerators, but no gravis armor. They have the old cross straps incorporated into their chest. The eviscerators have only a one-sided chainblade, but are two-handed.

So adjust your bets accordingly.

And Also no different box art, it is the glorius UM color scheme

Hmmm very interesting.

So this throws a lot of rumours that we've taken on board with a degree of certainty.

If the Lion is dropping soon, perhaps the 10th starter will be themed to Dark Angels again?

Nope - he said in virtually the same sentence that the Marines in the box would be generic in build and presented as Ultramarines.

Wait, so he's seen the box? Or his contact has?

Does he hint at what's actually in it? Lol this teasing.

I believe he has said, and I may be wrong, that Terminators and a Librarian might be in it. That's all I remember hearing over the past few weeks besides that jump assault aren't in it.

He also said, as I think I'd've expected, that the box contents are painted as Ultramarines and not Blood Angels or Dark Angels. That said, they may also have painted them up in those chapters, just not for the box art. *Didn't see that others already mentioned that above.

Aren't the jump assault infantry rumor largely based on them appearing in SM II? I still think theyll come but never felt it was a particular done deal they'd be in a particular box like the 10th starter?

Guess the interesting thing will be what the actual contents of a 10th Ed starter set will actually be. Maybe it’ll end up being a bunch of firstborn sculpts lol

I'll buy a boxed set and paint you a model from it to do as you please if that happens!

(Only joking, I can't afford new toys!)

Another Dreadnought is on the way, according to Val. He's not sure of the details aside from it being "chonky."

Also, he's promising a video for next week going into more detail on the 10th Ed launch box.

Maybe that means something that can go in a Heavy Support slot.

Now this might be a long shot but what IF, and it's a massive IF, it's Castraferrum MkVI. It would also serve as basis for a Grey Knight update, as a full on shooty dread with a Mortis configuration and act as a Venerable version to the new Redemptors.

Redemptor is clearly a rescaled castra ferrum, I just don't see them making more of the old scale again. I'd expect if grey knights get attention and a new dread, it'll be a redemptor with GK weapon sprue.

I don't see the redemptor as a resized castraferrum.  Rather different designs.

I'll be quite disappointed if its another redemptor except with two shooty arms

That was the first thought that crossed my mind. Using a dread a pure shooting platform seems like a waste though.

Such a missed opportunity with the Brutalis IMO. Too bad.

I know its a max dose of Hopium.... Maybe it can be a upgrade sprue?

I really like the brutalis, as a blood angels player

Claws or Fists?
