Character sheet updates:

Remove one Fate (down to one)

Take Forbidden Lore (Inquisition) and Common Lore (Adeptus Arbites) as those make the most sense from the choices for Bardas to have learned.

Added XP to saved total, not sure what to spend it on yet.

Questions:

  1. Cybernetic Arm, Left or Right?
  2. Any Insanity or Corruption from Burning Fate and or the near death experience
  3. You say wounds restored, is Bardas included in this or have recent events (the not death and surgery) left him injured and such
  4. Dose Bardas get the 250 Thrones as he is not at the sanctum
  5. What is the state of Bardas’s gear/posessions? All lost/all there? Damaged? Etc

Bardas will go where required, if a little unsteadily on his new legs.

@Mazer Rackham - The Award Skills do we have to spend XP to get them or are they gratis?

They're GM Awards, so they're free.

They do indeed. Birds of a certain feather perhaps.

1D3 Crazy pills. No Corruption for a Burn in those circumstances. The insanity can represent the NDE, the strange times your mind/spirit wandered outside your skull...

You don't normally/permanently reduce Wounds from a Burn, the loss of the Fate Point is the compensation paid for your survival.

Apart from being a bit worse for wear, with some new bumps, scratches and dings it should be fine. Again, the Burn is the compensation to the fickle gods of Fate. If you go back and look at the fallout (literally) of the train sequence, the loss of gear was the compensation for survival in place of the FP Burn.

There's only so much I can do with soft and hard fail states, sorry! :pinch:

And will also immediately spend 50 of the 250 on a RDS for his Combat Shotgun - found it very useful on the pistol, and it should help with getting DoS for SABs and Scatter (and I can still just scrape it through without causing Encumbrance!  )

Going to have to be lore:navy, since otherwise Falk would end up with +30 arbites

If available there are arbites advancement packages for investigating serial killers and psychotic countesses that total exactly 300xp. Or perhaps some command-related skills.

A shock maul looks appealing, or perhaps an auxiliary grenade launcher. Psy-jammers and null boxes are a little outside of his price bracket sadly :p

Book of Judgement?

What were you thinking? I'm amenable.

RDS = Red Dot Sight.

Pew, pew!

Good old fashioned irons aren't good enough for these young whippersnappers, MG. Why, I'll bet they ride around in flashy cars with the windows down and the wireless blaring!

All of the book of judgement backgrounds appear to be for criminals , and we are about 6000xp short of something like the 'magistrate' advancement :p

I was just looking at the generic options from the inquisitors handbook. Picked up the shooting skills last time around so it's back to social/investigation advancements for Falk.

RDS only works for Single Shot. Pretty pointless on a Combat Shotgun

Expand

Oh, herp derp, well spotted MG!

I suppose on a single shot it might still make the difference of hitting or not and potentially add DoS for Scatter?

But then doing an SAB will also get a bonus to hit and potential for extra hits too.

Hmm, forget that idea then...

Nah man, think about it - whilst you're flailing that bad boy around, the Juves think they're at a rave and the Party get a Sneak Bonus.

Not really many ways to improve a Shotgun, is there? I suppose a Fire Selector with a few Inferno Shells could add a bit more versatility, if that were allowed? (...but I have a vague feeling you said you weren't allowing Inferno's...?)

I'm surprised there aren't any other Shell options available in DH, to be honest...

Seen John Wick 4, have we?

I don't see any reason for such restrictions at this stage. If you can buy them, you can have them.

Shot Selector is always a good call on a shotty.

I think those are called bolters!

But yes - every household should have a double-barrelled 1-gauge stopping rifle!  (I know I want one) There's no telling when one of those angry Alpha Bull Groxes are going to come a-thundering through your herbaceous Petunias!

I didn't realise they could be used in shotties... is that a house rule? Makes sense though.

Thinking about it, I'll take the Fire Selector at least. Even if you don't use any kind of different ammo, it means you have three clips worth of shells to use before needing to reload - that's gotta be worthwhile!

(Though I might take three or four Inferno shells loaded in the first spots in one of the clips...)

Kerr Restal took Forbidden Lore: Inquisition and Common Lore: Adeptus Arbites.

I'm still think on the XP spend.

I was thinking of Quickdraw and Dual Shot.

But now I'm wondering about Dual Shot and Pistol Training Bolt. But he'll have to wait for Cephas to return.

Without any new weapon talents I think Falk has to pick between light enforcer carapace (good for not getting killed by needle pistols) or some additions to his batman utility belt.

A few more vials for the injector too as I keep jabbing dead people with it.

Extra grip/pistol grip ro such, then wield one in each hand?

Scourge will take Forbidden Lore: Inq, Common Lore: Adeptus Arbites, Takedown (100xp), Sound Constitution (100xp), and either Intimidate +10 (100xp) or Basic Weapon Training (Flame) (100xp) (?). Chain Weapon training is tempting, but he hasn't such a weapon, and the axe is nearly as good, sans Tearing.

With his filthy lucre, Scourge will acquire bolt shells. Many of them. If I opt for flamer training then possibly a couple of exterminator attachments will be acquired for heretic burning.

What say ye, fellows?
